What do you mean it's too late? You're defeated before you've even started. You will need to do a lot of hard work. You'll need to work your butt off to get decent GSCE results. You will need those sciences to train as a primary school teacher in the UK too. I'm a lot older than you and I'm at uni now having previously trained as a nurse and I'm hoping to go on to do my teacher training. Primary school teaching courses fill up very fast so you need good grades and commitment. You also need to apply before Christmas to have any hope of starting the following September. The good news is there is a lot of dyslexia support at most universities and you should make that a consideration when choosing a uni if and when you decide to apply. You should be able to find support at your local college too or at your training centre. You really need to work hard because there's a lot of competition for places so work on those grades and get the sciences too (you only need GCSE sciences not A).

I have to admit I don't know alot about dyslexic teachers, but I would think you have a hard path ahead of you. Not because you're dumb (I mean, as I'm sure you know, Einstein was dyslexic), but because the learning situations may not be ideal for you. You may want to contact other dyslexics and see how they have gone about achieving their goals. I have included a couple of web sites that might be useful.

What I would not do is, at 18, decide that it's too late. 18 years old is not too late unless you are planning to be an Olympic athlete, professional football player, ballerina, etc. 18 is still very young, and, though it may be difficult, you can persevere to fulfill your dreams. I say this from personal experience: when I was 18 I remember thinking that it was too late for certain things (e.g. being an airline pilot) so I didn't pursue them. Looking back now, I realize that I had plenty of time to become a pilot. It didn't seem so at the time, but it's true.

So, don't give up on your dreams. You can work in the nursery and go to school at the same time. Again, it's difficult, but I did it. Never give up!

I think you can still be a teacher, although it will take you a while to retake classes there is a possibility because after all you want to teach primary school not Calculus. But, i would look at the payment you would be receiving as a nursery nurse Vs. The primary school teacher... then i would decide according to payment and your personal life long goals.

i'm an aspiring coaching substantial and your suited wager could be to bypass and shadow a instructor interior the grade you may instruct. Ask the instructor numerous questions approximately how she deals with it. Being in college you will might desire to do diverse student coaching studies that require you spend time interior the faculty room the two observing (before everything) or coaching the class (often the final part of your coaching the place you spend approximately 3-5 months with a particular classification).
