I really want to get my tragus pierced, but i've heard it hurts horribly. I have also it nots that bad and that it wouldn't because the tragus has no nerve endings???

I have my tregus pierced. The actual piercing is not bad, although it does depend on your pain theshold. (i also had other piercings...belly button was worse, in my opinion!) it's when they stretch the freshly pierced hole out and put the earring into it-that is the painful part! i went through about 3 months of not being able to sleep on my ear (and it being infected on and off) and then it magically cleared up and has not given me one problem in 8 years. i love my tregus piercing!!!

well all piercings have some level of pain. my firned and i went to go get pierced a few weeks ago. i got my rook pierced which is that fold of skin above the tragus. and my other friends goet t heir tragus pierced. they said it didnt hurt. my rook didnt hurt as much as the other caartilag epiecing either.. ther are nerves there. thats why you feel the pain. but there is an urban legend if you hit a certain nerve there which doest exist anyways. the side of your face can be paralyzed..lol dont worry this is just an urban legend! biut all piercings hurt. but what does soothe the pain is wonderful sea salt soaks! do these every ngiht. your piercer soudl tell you all abotu hem but they soothe that sorenes.. aid in healing and fight pending infections! good lucka nd just keep your hands off of it! remember its just a temporary pain! itll just be a big quick pinch! trust me!

I didn't think it was that bad. More painful than a lobe or nostril piercing, but less painful than my rook or vch. I was able to lay comfortably on that side in about three weeks. It stayed swollen longer than any of my other piercings though. I had mine pierced with a straight barbell, and would recommend that. I would also recommend piercing the side you do not sleep on.
On a 1-10 pain scale, in reference to my other piercings, I'd give it a 5.

Mine was one of my more painful piercings out of 26 total.
The only ones more painful were the diath and rook.
Keep in mind though, everyone is different, so its worse for some and not bad for others. Just try to relax, you'll be fine. The worst part is having a sore ear for a few weeks.

I want to get it done and i've been wondering the same thing..i have heard that it doesnt hurt to bad, its just sore for a long time after.

The tragus peircing is the most painfull peircing you can get
Both me and my friend got it done and it is extremly painfull and hurts for ages after.

i dont believe her, it looks soo painful. it hurts just to squeeze\pinch that part of the ear
