Any food that you feel like eating when you get up is ok for breakfast food.
Brownies are traditionally served with tea or coffee in the afternoon, but if you feel like it, go for it at breakfast.

If you aren't interested in eating healthy they can be a breakfast food. Also, a brownie is compact but full of calories. So you feel hungry again at lunch time but feel like you probably haven't eaten a lot since it looked small. I prefer to eat an egg mcmuffin which has 300 calories and keeps me feeling full all the way to lunch.
