your not legally old enough to make that decision...just like my son who wanted to join when he was 9...he had to wait until he was 18...which he did...in the meantime, get as educated as you can,... if your serious, maybe join a junior rotc program, that way if you do go in, youll be credited with "prior service" which might bump you up a grade or two...plus it will give you an idea of whats in store and give you confidence and a sense of what you really might want to do if you do decide to join at 18....good luck, god bless and thanks for thinking of the rest of us...

Can you say court martial? Forging documents is serious to the US Government, which you would belong to if you join the Army. The army is not a job. You sign away many of your rights when you join. I don't think 14 is the right age to make that kind of life changing decision.

You need to supply a birth certificate. And the Army has been around for over 200 year so hat is the chance that someone has already tried that one?

Not that easy. You will need to provide a certified copy of your birth certificate and most likely your high school diploma. And some kind of state id...like a driver's license.
Why do u want to join so bad?

Well, unless you have a fake birth certificate and a fake high school diploma or GED then you won't even get close to joining. If you did have those and you were to join and they found out, you would go to the brig.

That won't happen. They have this thing called social security cards and background checks. Not to mention birth certificates and high school diplomas. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you.

You have to show them your birth certificate in order to join and you have to have your high school diploma or equivalency.
The Army is smarter than you.

I know everyone has already responded, but are you serious??
It's not like they'll take your word for it if you claim to be 18! It's not like you're working for the government or anything.

There is no way to lie about your age and get away with it. They will know.
