God is found within you. External practices (like attending church) does not have any bearing on belief or serving God.

Yes, Yah is all around us. If there is a God and He has requirements for our lives, do you think it's necessary to know them and obey Him? Certainly. No, you don't have to attend a church or follow some religious traditions that He has not commanded in His word.
But you do need to know what He requires of us. By this I mean, what He expects of us and do that. I would suggest reading the Bible, both testaments being as though the whole collection of books are scripture and not just the second half. If there is a God and we don't do the things He requires of us, then how can we serve Him without obedience?

I don't. A lot of people in church are confused, lost and on their way to hell. The building doesn't determine how to serve God, His Word does. Church is a place of assembling with other believers, and getting strength in weak times and giving your strength to those who are weak. If you stay in God's prescence, religion won't over take you but a relationship with God will. Then you'll start seeing things differentlly, even the things that they do in church. God's Spirit isn't limited to a building.

Maybe so. If there is in fact a god, I'm sure it doesn't require us to attend some man-made religious service in order to serve or appease or it. If that was true then all churches would be the same and there would only be one religion.

I believe so because HE told us to follow HIS SCRIPTURES and to do so, I must carefully study them. We are also told to gather together, to give as we have been prospered, and to partake of the Lord's Supper. These things are done together in Church and we are certainly better prepared for the World if we do so on a weekly basis. I hope that this makes you feel "OK", I am not putting you down for how you feel. I believe that Our FATHER is present and is seen in everything that HE provided us in Nature. Our GOD is an awesome GOD! Have a great day.

there are plenty of people who believe in god who don't attend any particular church or even claim any particular religion so it's very possible for people to believe in god without church or religion

Yes God is found wherever you choose to see it. And no a formal church is not necessary to know God.
Be kind and loving to yourself and others. Accept what is.

Honeslty I don't. The bible does tell us that we should fellowship. But this could be done in many ways. Ministering to others in different places. Offer praises at home, school , or work. I beleive if we seek his face no matter where we are he is there.

I am more spiritual than religious, I do not think you have to go to a place of worship to serve GOD.
