Did you know that OUR boys/men over in Iraq are "cleaning up" as one of their duties? And by cleaning up, I mean going around in a HumVee and picking up dead bodies, while getting shot at to boot!!!! Did you also know they are capturing our boys to have sex because it's against their religion to have sex with a woman before you are married?

Iraq is a horrific place, all of our brave soldiers have witnessed the very worse of inhumanity. All of the news reports cannot convey the absolute and utter bleakness of the situation over there. As my friends's 18 year old son concluded after being there only a short time, the Iraqi people are killing each other. It is civil war brought on by our military presence and lack of Iraqi authority to rule the country.

How long can we let this go on?

"They" is a reference to the insurgents.

Yes, I am going with an 18 yr old, who has been there, been shot and has been doing the "cleaning up". Age has nothing to do with enduring the horrors over there.

Who's 'they'? I'd like to know more about that....

Yes, Iraq is not a nice place right now, although over the last weekend it seems things are picking up (200+ insurgents killed, wounded or captured along with their leader). Just stick in there, we'll get through this mess.

Did you also know that good things are happening over there. Children are being supplied with clothing, school supplies, hygiene items etc...supplied by the wonderful giving people from the U.S. These things are sent to people in the military and are distributed by our military men and women. They are thanked by the Iraqi people for their help.
Yes, there is a lot of bad going on over there, but try to remember that there is a lot of good going on there also.

That's nice, I get a thumbs down for pointing out that not everything is bad

My husband told me that the attitude over there is that women are for procreation and men are for recreation. However, in Islam, homosexuality is supposed to be major sin punishable by death. And they call us the Infidels?? God Bless our Troops and may they get permission to turn it into a glass parking lot.

so you're going with the opinion of an 18-year-old who hasn't done anything in his lifetime? Iraq is better than Texas and less violent than Detroit.
