All these responeses are great, but remember that kids with ADHD cannot remember multiple things at one time....My son totally has a melt down if I ask him to take the garbage out and feed the dog at one time...You need to ask him to take the garbage out then after he is done with that ask him to feed the dog.....They cannot concentrate to too many thing at one time. Only one task at a time. If too may things are asked they will get frustrated at the fact that they cannot remember one or two of the things that are asked of them. If they don't do one, they most likely didn't even remember that they were asked.

I had ADHD and my mom disciplined me by keeping me busy. What you have to understand is that ADHD children only get to be a problem when something isn't holding their attention. So you've got to keep their attention but doing activites that interest them.

Try Mel Levine's A Mind at a Time. It speaks to other things than ADHD too, but it is a good book.

1-2-3 Magic By... Tom Phelan? I think
Super book, very easy to implement. Simple, straightforward and effective.
Other advice:
Lots of exersise
Writing Lists of Tasks (breaking big tasks into steps to be checked off) instead of being expected to remember.
