As opposed to developing nations?

He cures little Johnny from America's leukemia, helps people like Alicia Keys win awards and whatnot, but he never really finds time to irrigate drought ridden third world countries or stop genocides. Why is that?

Is it because in America they have videocameras and can film the miracles and broadcast them across the world to witness to others but in Ethiopia his efforts would go unnoticed?

Define miracle.

The visitations of Mary happened in Fatima, Guadalupe, and other places, none that I know were particularly prosperous places.

Peace!

God doesn't only focus on developed nations!!! I know of a guy named Mel Tari in Indonesia who needed to cross a violent river to get to the other side to preach the Gospel to the village on the other side. And he was with two pagan friends. Mel walked across the top of the river by the power of the Holy Spirit and when the pagans followed, they stepped in and almost drowned!
I know of also some 6 to 10 year old kids who would go through the jungles of Indesia with alone with no adults or parents, to preach the Gospel to nearby villages and heal the sick there in the name of Jesus. Nearby means about 5-15 miles of jungle. Many people were healed by God's power through these little children, and the children say that they see angels and talk to them and follow them to know where to go. I know many more miracles that took place in Indonesia, but I don't have time to right them all.

You got it, when you said it is because we have video and can show it to other people, but there are few such things in the 3rd world countries.

We get some over seas news letters from missionaries at our church, and there are always many stories of healings.

I think that there are actually more miracles in the 3rd would countries than in America.

You are not very well versed on what is happening in the world, are you? I imagine all the news you get is from the mainline networks, isn't it?
There are more miracles that happen in so called "third world nations" every day then we see in the states in a year. Also they see miracles that we have not seen for decades, like people raising from the dead(a man in a small village in South Africa in 2003) for example.
God expects His people to reach out to help those less fortunate then themselves, like teaching them how to irrigate, and fighting against genocide, world hunger, terrorism, etc. It is not God that has failed but it is people who continually fail to help other people. God has given us everything we need not only for ourselves, but to help others also. So quit whining about what God is and is not doing, and go out and do what you can to help others.
