As a an Ex-Born again Methodist who had asked for jesus to come into my heart and who has experienced what I would term the holy spirit in Christian terminology, if judgement day came tomorrow what would happen to me?

I dont believe in the Christian God I am following a Pagan spiritual path, have disagreed with most points of my faith with just about every Christian I can ever remember when discussing my true beliefs with them. This is why I came to the end of my Christian path - my deity was different from yours and no matter how much I read the bible, studdied Christianity and prayed I always had different answers and different feelings and it appears a different God. Was i never Christian? How is this possible when I started sunday school at the age of 3 and prayed and read the bible till I was 20. I went to church till I was 17 and on and off till I was 20. I asked Jesus to come into my heart and wash me anew and clense my spirit - why was my experience completly different?

silly religions.

listen dude, any Deity or ideal that raises society or individuals to a greater level of spirituality promoting love and kindness in their actions is a good thing in my book.

you don't have to follow the status quot when making important personal decisions. It is more important to follow what you most believe in so it will have real meaning to you.

It's a very hard question to answer about someone else. I can't know what's gone on between you and God, so I can't conclusively tell you! But from what you say it's possible that you've never had that relationship with the God who exists (according to what the Bible says). If you've believed in a God who is fundamentally different to the Biblical God, it's not the same God, and if the Biblical God is actually what God's like that would mean you've never believed God. If God exists, we can't make up what we want him to be like.

Praying and reading the Bible don't make you a Christian, they're just things Christians do. It's just like if you're a sheep, you can moo all you want, but that won't make you a cow.

Asking Jesus into your heart is a hard one to comment on. Either you genuinely understand what it meant and genuinely meant what you said, which would mean that you're genuinely a Christian (although that would be shown by following through on obeying Jesus and becoming more like him). It's possible to have a different concept in your head about what 'asking Jesus into your heart' actually means - it's very jargony; it's also possible to say the words with really meaning it.

If you have genuinely become a Christian the Bible says God won't let go of you, so you might come back to believing it all one day.

But as I said before, I can't do what your situation actually is. I hope that's been helpful!

Look buddy we all have times when we go off course, and an interestin thing u said was that when u prayed u felt the holy spirit, well the holy spirits purpose is to comfort, bring joy , and also to testify of truth!...He testifies of God and of Jesus!...Ur prayer must have been sincere with all ur heart knowin that God was listenin!...This experience gives u also testimony that Jesus is real and that God heared u that day!...Listen hes always there for u, sometimes the devil uses tricky ways to makes us move aways from Gods plan, u now move to paganism then to what?...U said u read this and that about Christians, and also the bible, well thats good but ur dependin on ur own mind and way of thinkin!....When u prayed and felt the spirit u werent dependin on ur own self but on God!...Dont try to rationalize urself with the world, just stay true to ur heart!...U did indeed feel the holy spirit that day, God loves u, dont move away from him; whatever u choose to do just remember that experience is always goin to be with u nomatter how much u try to forget it or change it in ur mind!...later

Dear Deamonsaddiablo:

Let's take this step by step:

Once you have asked Jesus and the Holy Spirit to be always present in you and you have surrendered yourself to Them - They never leave:

"A choice made with the power of 'heaven' to uphold it cannot be undone."

[The gift of your salvation] is upheld for you. . . . God is fair.

He does not wrestle from you what you would hold onto ! " It is not necessary that your faith in Him be strong, unswerving, and without attack from all beliefs opposed to it. [We] have no fixed allegiance." (That is why we needed the salvation that was offered to be in force, always.)

There is no "Hell" ahead for you, for the gift stands and waits upon your use of it. You are where you belong - presently. That is enough. You are happy in a pagan world - for some period of time. Suffice it to know that Their eye is upon the sparrow - with love. Pagan worship does not mean you have lost Them. Paganism is an experience that brings you happiness. It's fulfilling something in you that NEEDS to be fulfilled. Jesus KNEW that within YOUR Journey you would need a form of worship that was different from a traditional, denominational religion. He expects that you shall remain morally strong, and good, always. This turn off the "main road," so to speak, is just a branch in the road that led to a path that you have to explore. This path FEELS right and good. So enjoy ! As a young person, you must be aware that deeply spiritual people often explore and rejoice in many different experiences as PART of their adult personality forming into its maturity.

You should be rejoicing in Free Will and finding Their love for you IN the Free Will They give. What greater gift? Your Creator is ever Expansive, Unlimited, Un-opposed, and Joyful. Why would He deny YOU those attributes?

Someday, a path may appear on the road as a branch called Spirituality. You may perceive, at that time, that Jesus could take you still further within that - as something BEYOND bible study and church attendance.

There is a book called "A Course in Miracles." It speaks of Relationships : To Jesus, to the Holy Spirit, to the Creator, to your brothers. For that is the Miracle in life; those relationships. If it holds any interest for you - it will open doors and vistas you may not have yet imagined. Found in Libraries or sold directly by the publisher at: 415/ 388-2060. I recommend that as a book of three-in-one you read only the Text Book first. And that you read only the original book, NOT interpretations by Authors. The above quotes are from "A Course in Miracles." and the discussion is based upon it. It is totally non-denominational. Not occult. Simply, the pure study of our soul or spirit-mind - in it's relationships.

If you decide the quotes and discussion, above, hold some solid principles of Truth, I extend to you my real e-mail address. We could have spiritual "chat" whenever you felt like it. Reach me at: lana061341@sbcglobal.net.

Best regards, Lana

You are at the age of questioning, that is normal.

I used to be a Protestant as well, and was left with questions that I could not find answers to. The whole Protestant faith is to based on a "Personal Relationship" only, at least in my opinion.

I also quit attending Church around the age of 20 and have spend the last 22 years studying different faiths, and attending services.

Now that I am in my 40's, looking back, I could not justify that there was no God, and also could not justify any Religion other than Christianity.

That led me back to the start of the Christian faith, and Jesus and to the Catholic faith.

I am finally home, it was a long journey though.

Peace and may God Bless you!

There is one God for Cristian's and everyone else.

There is a Christian Identity movement going on strong and it is capturing a lot of what had been Evangelicals. It is very dangerous. Because humans are fallible, it is appropriate to question all things, except for things you know to be true when it takes the form of denial. Alway be a critical thinker.

The Bible tells us that Jesus will judge the world, if someone tells you they are doing it and they claim to be Christian, remind them of this. If they have some rules that they are sure replace the office of Jesus Christ, better to walk away. Love God.

You know, I think being a Christian and accepting salvation is something you have to choose everyday.

By following a pagan lifestyle you've taken that gift and basically thrown it in the trash. Paganism goes against everything Christ taught. So, while salvation will always be available to you while you live (even to your death bed). But if you don't pull out your salvation and live in it and walk in it during your life I would expect God to treat you in the same manner as you've treated Him.

This kind of thing is discussed at length in both First and Second Corinthians.

Church and Sunday school doesnt seal anyones faith. The problem is, as it is with so many people, is that when we read the Bible, we come to something that we personally do not agree with and then we just determine it to be false. We do what God tells us NOT to do in Proverbs 3:5-6 which is stop trusting Him and trusting our own understanding. If you were raised by good parents, Im sure that there were things they did and said and gave you restrictions that seemed wrong or you didnt understand the purpose for. Later, when you get older it makes more sense. This is the same with God.. He is not wrong simply because you dont agree or it doesnt make sense to you. You should just trust that He knows what He is doing and someday you will understand it better.

there's a fashion to modify sexual-orientation; it is said as Jesus. The argument for it being organic that there are gays, is like saying that kid-molesters were born that way - I dont imagine so. No, all of us recognize better than that. There ARE people available who were once gay/bi who're fairly no longer that way. Its no diverse than someone who struggles with drugs or alcohol or different sexual topics. I forgot to inform you on your different positioned up, to locate some pastime, ideally complicated actual exertion to assist launch capacity and concentration your ideas. exercising extremely differences the mind and facilitates with authorities function & determination making. in case you sense like you're heading in the route of a cliff some days, bypass for a lengthy run and PRAY the entire way. call someone from the church and bypass shoot hoops or do some thing else. I also propose reading the Bible huge (both through interpreting different Christian authors or at bible study), which could help round out your attitude on Him and help save you established on His route.

You are asking if 'once saved always saved' is a correct doctrine? As several posters ahead of me have answered; it is not. However, if you have been baptized in the Holy Trinity, as Methodists do, you have a mark on your soul. However you have chosen to reject Christ. And frankly Christ is being more merciful to you than Judas. Why? Because you are still questioning your Christian faith; you claim paganism as your 'spiritual path'. therefore you reject God, his Son and the Holy Spirit.

If judgement day occurred tomorrow as you ask, OBJECTIVELY speaking, you would not enter heaven and go to Hell to live with the "diety" you follow now, forever and always.

Don't like my answer? Charity isn't kindness when truth is being assaulted.

Chill out in regards to your 'spiritual' path that you currently are on. When in doubt, do nothing. That is now. Do not mistake 'emotions' as part of spiritual fulfillment. Know that you have reason and logic that God has given to you, and ask God of your Baptism to allow you the light of reason and truth.

Some Christian sects teach that, But the Bible makes it clear that being saved is a lifelong process. We work out our salvation daily, as the Bible commands, for exacxtly the reason that the Apostle Paul stated - lest having preached the truth to others, we ourselves might be excluded. The Bible says that "those who endure to the end, they WILL be saved". Note the future tense. Anyone who thinks he is already saved for all eternity is in great spiritual danger. Satan doesn't give up on us when we make a commitment to Christ. On the contrary, he tries all the harder. A person who thinks he is already saved may let down his guard, stop working to stay on the road to salvation, fail to endure to the end, and be eternally lost.
