Please do not quote references from your religeoius teachings or say things like god is love, or god teaches us x,y,z because this is what you believe! and i'm interested in why, even if the answer is as simple as that is how i was brought up.

Personally I believe in God because of the complexity of life! We are so wonderfully made the only intelligent answer is that there is a God. Yes I was brought up in a Christian home, but that doesn't mean I was brainwashed! When I was old enough I had a choice. I had to prove to myself that God existed. I also had to prove to myself that his word the Bible was accurate. Wow! I have never been so amazed. The accuracy is so overwhelming. Every prophecy is so detailed and fulfilled on each occasion.
Why my God in particular? Well through my study of The Bible I have found that there is only one. Just one! God!

Well..
I don't believe in a god or gods. I have a mind of my own and base my life off the teaching of my paretns, friends, co-workers, TV, science, radio, newspepers etc.
Believing in a god means that your mind has totally bypassed all logic and you now think that everything was made by god, that everything you do...god can see, that everything you about to do god knows before you do it...because it his will.
This is such a silly, crazy thought pattern that so many people follow and FORCE upon thier kids to follow.
Just who in the heck in god?, where is a picture of him, where does he live, how do you know where he live?....it is because the bibly says so?...then where did the biblt come from and where did the people that wrote it get thier facts from. Why is there no proof that some man split the red sea, that a man rose form the dead, that a man was brought back to life, that a virgin gave birth to a deitiy in the pasture.
Christians, Muslims, Buddists, etc......you are all blind sheep.
There is no god, only yourself.

I don't believe in any God. In my youth I did, through education and thinking about the concept I, feel that there is no place in my life for support from or belief in an imaginary supernatural being. It makes no logical sense in an enlightened age.

I believe in God but not religion, i was raised a catholic but dont agree with all their teachings, i believe because there has to be something more and a reason for life

I am a Muslim and of course, I believe in God.If you believe that God is not there, then who created this world, stars,sun?It's not man-made, no doubt that God made it.I had many experiences.If there wasn't God, then how will cruel people get their punishment.Eg: Just what Saddam got.That's the punishment which God gave for killing a lot of people ruthlessly.But the problem was America shouldn't kill Saddam because the don't have any right.You should believe in God.But I am not superstitious.Being superstitious is bad.Refer many religious books and you will get it.

People who believe in God just feel he exists and there is no explanation for it. The human soul has in it an inherent in-built propensity to seek God, but often this is buried inside intellectual arguments that tell you otherwise ! There is only one God, whatever the religion. What changes is His name but never Its single, unique and special nature.

because i think the jewish G-d is spicy, and i like that. i'm not one of those people who pictures G-d as perfect loving rosy cheerfulness with extra sugar and cherries.

I have been through many many things in my life and seen way too much to deny it any longer. I used to deny, deny deny. But eventually I had to accept what it was that I was seeing. I have seen things and been through things that make it to where you have to trust your own eyes and intellect.
I am a christian, I don't follow the bible, but I do follow my eyes.

Bcause if you don't believe in Jesus he will torture you forever. And when Jesus returns to get revenge on the non-believers he will destroy them and rip their hearts out..
