Before i answer this you have to actually know what i Islam actually is:

This is the short definition of islam:

Islam: is derived from the word salaam meaning peace.
Islam: Submission to the Will of Allah (swt) i.e. God Almighty.
Meaning of ‘Muslim’ – One who submits his will to Allah.

Reward: Being a believer ( That there is No God but Allah and Muhammed is the last messanger to humanity)

In terms of reward there many categories.

Every Good deeds you do will be accounted and recorded, either God will reward you on the earth or the hereafter (life after death).

Keep in Mind God has placed in each and every on of us two angels and one of them is recording all the Goods we are doing and the other the bad deeds.

The ultimate reward:
-Seeing God
- In Paradise (there are many levels in Paradise)
etc

Please read this book, it tells as what kind of reward are given to us in Paradise:

Paradise

Allah has promised the men and women of the believers Gardens with rivers flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, forever, and fine dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. And Allah's good pleasure is even greater. That is the great victory. (Qur' an: Surat at-Tawba: 72)

I am a Muslim. If we die believing that there is no God but ALLAH and that Muhammmed is the slave and messenger of ALLAH than we will get into Jinnah. Jinnah is Arabic for Heaven. We have to keep the 5 pillars which are the Shadah, Salat, Zakah, Swam, and Hajj. Be kind to the neighbors, children, elderly, parents, and orphans. Read the Qur'an daily. Etc. If we committ any acts of violence like murder someone or like some radical Muslims do commit terrorism they are denied Jinnah. (I think that depends on ALLAH though). Also if we die not believing that there is no God but ALLAH and that Muhammed is his slave and messenger or we worship other partners along with ALLAH we go to Jahannam. Jahannam is Arabic for Hell. We have to believe in the Day of Judgement and hope our good deeds outweigh our bad. There are four ways a person can get directly to Jinnah without their deeds coming into effect. If they're a child which means under the age of puberty, if a woman dies in childbirth, doing Hajj, or in Jihad. If a person does all good things and keeps the Shadah than their face will turn white and that means their going to Jinnah. If their face turns black that means their going to Jahannam. By the way TERRORISM IS STRICTLY AGAINST ISLAM. Hope this helps.

Reward for a Muslim comes either in the present life as blessings or in the afterlife as paradise (I will note the Quran says Muslims aren't the only ones who will attain paradise). Rewarded deeds are the good deeds, but to be purely good deeds they must be done with good intentions. A rich man giving $1 million to the poor so he can have his name in the paper is not truly a good deed. A poor man giving $1 to another poor man because he wants to lessen the other man's suffering is the purest of good deeds, and is certainly rewarded.
We're not sure what exactly those rewards are, we're only given glimpses of what heaven will be like, and even those aren't a true representation of the beauty of paradise. I say that because God tells us that even our greatest imaginations of heaven aren't close to its true beauty, and the best way to understand it is to give examples of what WE would see as the best of things. For example, there are verses in the Quran and the Bible alike that mention heaven being full of gardens "beneath which rivers flow," rivers of milk and honey to satisfy us, and castles adorned with jewels for all. These images are the best representation of what can't fully be explained to those living in the desert especially. So basically just imagine the greatest things you would want to see in heaven, then know that even those do not come close.

There are no mentions of virgins in heaven in Islam, and it seems to me that people on this board have far to low self esteem, they always want to tell a lie to make someone other than them look bad. A little knowledge always helps but I fear these people HAVE the knowledge but insist on insulting others while in reality they're also insulting themselves.

"Rewards" simply means good deeds one has acheived. On judgement day everyone is going to be judged according to his deeds.
So we try to achieve good deeds by for example: fasting, giving to charity, kindness, helping others, prayer, hajj, no backbitting.
