No, but it will cause a build-up of the product on your hair. Get some Neutragena deep cleaning shampoo and use that once a week. Your hair will look better if you clean that build-up off every once in a while.

hey! yeah, i dont recommend washing your hair daily because it usually dries out the cuticle (the outside of the hair strand). Have you tried using shampoos made especially for dry hair? There are many versions out there. I especially recommend John Freida. It can be a little bit more expensive around maybe 12 dollars. But if you want results use that for a short time until you notice the difference. Then you can continue using your normal shampoo. Also, make sure you dont constantly touch, streak through your hair as it can get very oily due to the moisture on your palm, causing you to frequently wash it. Hope this helped! Try and look for John Frieda products. They are superb and I wouldn't bother looking for anything else! Seriously!!!

Check out the ingredient list on the back of your gel. If it contains things like propylene glycold, sodium laurel (or laureth) sulphate or aluminum- those chemicals are very harmful to our bodies. I don't know where you could find an all natural gel, but just try looking for products that use natural ingredients and don't contain the chemicals I just mentioned. Best of luck!

Most hair products can be harmful if used excessively.
If you need to use a product daily then I suggest getting a daily clarifying cleanser. This will help get rid of any harmful build up on your hair.

Hair Gels can be very drying and make the hair brittle and susceptable to breakage, so a really good moisturizer should be used on a regular basis. I like VO5 conditioner and shampoo makes the hair soooo soft.

Yes! It does harm your hair as it contains chemical. But we still need the hair gel due to our work. What you can do is, go to body shop and buy a olive oil. It's good for your hair. Try that!

Not harmful you will just get product build up after a while. I use white vinegar and water once a week to rinse the product well out of my hair.

Some enviromentalists would argue that it IS harmful. Supposedly any chemicals after continued use can cause health problems..
this isn't my personal opinion though. I use hair products all the time.
