Saturday I went skiing and I think I got frostnip. I don't notice any discoloration or blisters, but 2 days later, I still feel some numbness and tinglies in my toes. Any idea how long this will last. Frostnip is not supposed to cause permanent damage and if it were frostbite, I would have noticed by now.

Numbness and tingling in your toes is an indication that you damaged the nerves, which is a common occurrence with frostnip. Nerves don't heal quickly, and the pain may not even have peaked out yet at only 2 days. Don't be surprised if you have very uncomfortable symptoms for a week or two, and then have minor problems for many months or even years whenever your feet get cold.

Okay, the reason marriages end in so many divorces is that they didn't try to really work on their relationship in the first marriage. Let me just put it this way. If it didn't work the first time around then why the he** do you think it will work with someone different. If you don't correct the first problem then history will repeat itself time and time again. That is what we all call baggage. Divorce is made to easy these days. If you don't like who you are with then just go divorce them.. that is the mentality of society. But the truth is Marriage is sacred, only if you both believe in its sanctity. And try not to let outside influences run your marriage. I promise it will work if you and your future partner approach marriage as a long lasting vow. And realize that one or both of you will not want to be married to the other person on some days. But not to let those feelings dictate what is real.

Stage one (Frostnip) shows as white or pale yellow patches, with a strong burning sensation when tissue is re-warmed. Frostnip will result in temporary loss of sensation in the affected area for up to one year.

Stage two is red swelling of the area (often visible in the evening) followed by blue spots, often visible in the morning or right after travel.

If untreated, the spots will grow into black areas (Frostbite) and stage three. The final stage of Frostbite is blood-poisoning (septicaemia) which can be fatal. Frostnip (white/red/light blue patches) can be reversed if treated in time. Frostbite (black) can be kept stable but will not heal until after you have left the ice.
