This is why I am for staying until Iraq is stabilized.
Saddam paid every family of a suicide bomber $10,000. Though he wasn't the largest supporter of terrorism he certainly backed them.
He was the easiest target to beat and save American lives by making Iraq the catalyst for political change throughout the Middle East.
A free Iraq with all Iraqi citizens receiving their fare share of oil revenue checks (as in Kuwait) will destabilize the Iranian government causing a thereat from within their own country.
Destabilizing Iran automatically weakens the foundation of the Syrian government.
These are the 2 largest contributors to terrorists. This has been the strategy from day one but the current administration cannot come right out and speak these words.
This will cause the monies flowing like a river to Al-Quaeda, Hezbollah, and Ham mas to be reduced to a dripping faucet.
The war in Iraq has been about undermining the terrorist supporting countries of the entire Middle East and is a logical step to end the source of money to terrorist organizations.
Once again...a free Iraq is their worst nightmare.
God Bless

It's beyond too far. It's a disaster for the ordinary people of Iraq. The US and the UK have killed more people in Iraq in 3 years than Saddam killed in 25 years. Where's the rationale in that?
This is Vietnam all over again. We'll pull out and then the US will do the same and Iraq will become a total bloodbath. It will be wholesale slaughter of innocent people and another monster will take over. Both Blair and Bush will have retired by then and disappeared into the background.

Talk to someone who has been there. Don't depend on the media to tell you what is really happening there. All we hear about is the explosions and the body count. With all the hand wringing over the lowest casualty rate of any large scale war in history one wonders if we today could muster the fortitude to defeat fascism as we had to in the 1940's.
Iraq is basically quiet, except for a 30 mile radius around Baghdad. You don't hear about the schools built, the hospitals put back in service and the dull existence of everyday life in 95% of the country.
The Shiite majority was violently and murderously repressed under Saddam Hussein. Revenge against the formerly elite Sunni minority is a powerful motivator.
If we pull another Bay of Pigs here, we invite another attack on our or another non-sharia law country.
So, no, it has not gone far enough. The media have never forgiven GWB for their defeat at the polls in 2000. Revenge is a powerful motivator indeed.

I personally think we shouldn't get out because what we would be doing to the Iraqi people. Ok, so we go in there, over throw the government (Saddam Hussein) and create a huge mess. We are now trying to re-build their government and make it a safe environment for them. If we just left within the next 2 weeks or so, wouldn't this make the Iraqi people pretty angry? And more importantly, angry enough to attack the United States? If we pulled out before we accomplished our goal, we went in there for nothing (except taking Saddam out so he couldn't kill anyone else) and we'd just Iraq with a huge problem for them to basically handle of their own. Wow, we're sooooo nice.

EVERYBODY SHARE YOUR VIEW MY FRIEND.
I do at least.
I condemn the war.
this war is without any reason - This is the worst war in this millenium. the scream of the innocent people will be ringing in the ears of every people and who supported the great blasphemy.
People who are allowing their government to brain wash them.
The devils game started - the world is under the sun .it is going to melt under the blood. Who is going to paying the blood money?
money can be given but life is gone. THe truth is revealed but people are blind folded by the propaganda that these devils play. War = money, power, Respect.
Human lives are just a another piece of the chess game.

Where it is your right to protest as an American citizen. You first need to look at your question and use spell check. But that aside. you need to protest correctly or you will go to jail. Especially if you are doing it in Washington.

It had gone to far when we went into Iraq uninvited. But I will reserve my protest for the next president, becuase to protest now will go unheeded, this president does not care about what Americans think and would be a waste of time to try to change his mind.
