sorry to say it this way but sounds like she will end up hurting you if you keep after this one. Maby you should allow some things to end. I know it's not easy but it will be easer than all the tough times if you keep after her. you'll figure it out.

First repair the friendship, then see what happens. But as a friend or a lover shutting her out for something she's doing proves to make things worse. You have to go slow with this. Gain her trust by asking what you can do, how is she feeling? If the drinking is a problem, then there is something behind it. Pain that she's not telling anyone about. Try to be her frined and don't give up on her. Maybe she needs your support more now.

You have two options...
1. Move on, and don't repeat the same mistakes again.
2. Tell her that she is the only one for you, then demonstrate consistency. If she is to believe you again, the only way it will happen is if you demonstrate consistency in the way you treat her. Admit that you did the wrong thing, but let her know that her drinking was a factor. The depth of a relationship comes with time and consistency.
No single action or words will turn her around. Make a commitment and demonstrate CONSISTENCY.

It sounds a lot to me like the both of you need to grow up. There is a lot of give and take, compromise and sacrifice in a relationship.
In a healthy and long lasting relationship, both partners need to communicate and be supportive of each others feelings. It was wrong of you to shut her out. that was the perfect time for her to shine as your friend, lover and partner.
The best thing for you to do is apologize for blowing her off with the intention of re-building the friendship...
you never know where it can go from there

Be kind, loving and have respect for yourself and her. Don't push nor make demands of her.
See if she would consider working on a project together.
Maybe a lunch. Keep it short, simple, show her your interested in her. Don't push nor have any expectations. Don't over do it.
Lead by example.
Her drinking concerns me, is she seeking help with that?
I think you have your hands full brother...
by best to you

You probably outta just move on. If you are in public with another woman it is likely that she will be jealous and try to get back with you. That always works!
