Ok. I've known of this guy for practically my whole life, but not really met him until almost a year ago. We really hit it off, and we've been emailing almost every day since, cause we live really far away and rarely see each other; when we do, it's always group activities. Then he asked me to a dance, and I went. This was like a prom-type dance, though, they called it a ball. Both of us like each other a lot, at least I know I like him. (Based on the fact that he returns my emails, I think he kind of likes me - think so?) Ok, problem: when we do see each other, it's really awkward, we don't talk that much. How can I get him to talk to me and what can I talk to him about to spark conversation? Thanks, I (we) really need help.

You should definitely pursue the relationship. Hold onto relationships that root from your childhood as much as you can. If he emails you almost every day, there's an extremely good chance that he likes you. Now that your relationship is at a new level, I'm not surprised you're having a hard time talking to each other. You're starting a new relationship. You just need to break the ice and things will be awesome. Try to spark up conversations about when you were a kid.

There is no indication of your age. If you are not old enough to be consenting adult, then this relationship has gone as far as it can go until you are older. For any male 16 and up there is a tendency to jump into sexual activity that is wrong. If you as a female is over 18, you have to decide how far you want to take this relationship.

The fact that this male is holding himself back is a sign of respect that he has for you. This is a keeper if you are under age, if of age - THIS MAKES HIM SPECIAL. I will bet he is a VIRGIN, be easy and patient with him.

If you are long pass the age of consent (around 22), You need to teach this guy what you as a woman want and desire. If he can not handle it, you do not need him.

Find out what he's interested in and learn something about it to talk to him about. Get to know each other by talking about your family, childhood, school activities, interests, hobbies, movies, music, etc. Part of the fun of a new relationship is finding out about the other person. Ask open ended questions....things he can't answer with just a yes or no....that will get the conversation going. Be yourself, relax and have fun!

It means that you two are shy from each other to start talking that much. But anyways to spark your talk just tell him he's wearing a nice dress, intrests other. Also, before meeting him just tell him to be frank and not be shy.Tell him in such a way so that he doesn't mind and understand what you mean to say.
