Reporting doesn't always mean that Yahoo takes steps against your question or answer. It goes to a "mediator" who reviews the accusation along with the question or answer that was reported. If it's a true issue, then Yahoo acts upon it, and if it's just a kid (or adult who hasn't yet matured) trying to start trouble, it gets ignored. If you were contacted by Yahoo about it, that means that there was something in your answer that coincided with the reasons why another poster reported you. I don't know what was said, but maybe your sarcasm came off as an insult to someone else. Chances are however that if a person is a chronic reporter, that means they're constantly reported as well. Karma, or whatever you want to call it, lol.

I did on one where a person asked why Christians won't leave her alone
I answered, we are concerned for your soul, deal with it
I was reported, I challeenged the report and just this morning I got an email that they restored my points
This was the first and only time that happened though

I know it`s crazy sometimes, perhaps it comes down to yahoo`s answers team at times, someone sitting there pissed off and decides that they have the power and why not use it.

It happens. People will report you if they simply don't agree with your answer. It has happened to me and lots of other people too so don't feel bad. It would be nice if people could just grow up.

Don't worry about it, I was reported because someone didn't like my question. You can call it virtual revenge, cyber karma, or whatever, doesn't matter now, just suck it up, and move on.

oh don't worry about it. happens all the time. it's even worse in the political forum. critiquing George W Bush usually gets you a violation.
