Where does aluminium foil fit in recycling?

Question

Seriously, can it be put in the recycle box? If pop cans go in why wouldn't used pieces of foil go in?
I'm embarassed I don't know what to do with it because I read so much about the environment and all but this one I'm at a loss.
What about those aluminium pans or pie plates that are around?
Can anyone inform me on foil?

I've been reusing the plates and pans and I have a stack of foil I try to reuse for dirty things outside...because of the energy used to make it. I don't go through a lot of it but some I'd like to get rid of... that's why I asked. (Our recycle collection company's pamplet doesn't list it either.)

Please do recycle it. There is a specific alloy in cans, I think is has magnesium, so don't put in inside the can. You may want to make a ball of it.

It takes a lot of electricity to make aluminum. The recovery rate for aluminum through recycling is about 40%. That's pretty good.

Certainly any product that be reused should be saved for later use if you have the room for it. Otherwise, aluminum foil can be recycled with aluminum cans.

just stuff it in a pop can, they'll never look! yes it is aluminum, and will go right along with the cans. or heck just wash it off and use it again, now that's recycling!

yes, aluminum foil and pie pans can all be recycled, just like cans.

lol! i always wad it up in a ball and throw it in with the aluminum cans... they've never complained. i re-use my pie tins (can u say cheap?) i use those for so many things, putting one under my plants, kids paints & other kid junk, cookin in the microwave, ..
