I don't think you should hate your skin because it is a part of you which you shouldn't be insecure. There are people who have worse skin such as burnt victims who wish that would be their only flaw. So don't take your face for granted. I'm sure it can be simply covered up with make-up.

With sun exposure, anyone can develop uneven looking pigment on their skin. The first thing that you can do make sure it doesn't get worse and prevent it from spreading is to begin wearing a sunscreen at least spf 30. (Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunscreen or choose another one with titanium oxide).

Also, try out a Vitamin C serum. Vitamin C not only helps to protect your skin from the sun but will also lighten dark spots. (One of the best to get is Skinceuticals Vitamin C, E and Ferulic Acid. Or you can look at Sephora and see what they have).

If the pigment is really REALLY noticeable (even with foundation/concealer), then the last option is to do a series of IPL treatments (intense pulsed light) from a dermatologist. Sometimes a dermatologist can prescribe a lightening cream too.

Try Nicole Miller's multi-action vitamin complex. You can find it at the link below. Just go to the product store.
The complex will even your skin tone after you use it a few days. Also, make sure your diet and vitamin intake is good and you are getting enough sleep. Using a ph balancing toner after you wash your face will also help too. If your skin is balanced, you have less blotchiness.

I used to have a problem to where my skin tone was uneven. Of course I used foundations and concealers, but that didn't help on the days when I wanted to be makeup free.

I started using a product from Nu Skin that helped to even my skin tone. It actually helped with a few things.

Lay off the caffeine. Tea bags for the eyes and lip...5 minute compress, twice a day....Check your glasses to make sure they are current. If you have a 'stacho, get it waxed. Drink 9 glasses of water/ day...

honestly its probably just the lighting that you are in. I used to be the same way, only i would get so frustrated with the way i look that i would imagine looking worse than what i really did. try washing your face 2-3 times a day just to keep it clean, exfoliate once a week with a good facial scrub (st. ives apricot scrub works good), and drink ALOT of water to keep your body hydrated and healthy looking.

It may be a trick of the light, but if not, still nothing to worry about, lots of things I wish I could change about my body, but we each have what we have, so you do the best you can with it. Be healthy, be happy, the rest will follow.

Use concealer.

But don't worry. If you look around you, you will find that many people (in fact more than 50% of the people) do not look perfect. Given this, most people won't even notice.
