This is one of the reasons I became Catholic in the first place. While the catholic church recognizes that the scriptures are now closed... however, the catholic church also believes in the power of God to influence events and dogmatic teachings today. I don't understand how people could ever claim that God would provide the books of the Bible and then just toss humanity to the winds.

The New Testament is good, but I myself am really enjoying the Old Testament studies these days.

The New Testament was written by Eye Witnesses to Jesus' ministry (written approx 30-40 years after Jesus death).

There are plenty of books out there to read about God's work through the generations by men as they testify to God's work in their lives. Those who are preverting God's Word will be judge by Him way day. I would not want to be in their shoes.

God is not lazy, but He has given us everything that we need to know in the Bible to glorify Him and receive salvation through Jesus Christ. As far as other religions go... there is only one way to get to heaven, and God has made it very clear all throughout the Bible what that way is. All other religions are simply man's attempt to get to God by his own way, instead of going to God by God's way, which is through His Son, Jesus Christ. Why don't you try reading the Bible? You might be surprised as to what you find. A good place to start is the book of John.

He has given us all the instructions that we need.

Men could twist any new books that He would give us.
