If you owe on a student loan and can't financially pay it back, speak with your student loan representative. There is something called the William Ford deferrment. Just ask for "Ford" they will know what your speaking of.

This will give you a deferrment that you are needing, showing no income that is disposable to pay for the debt. You can do this every year. Don't fret.

Like the previous poster stated you can not include your student loan into bankruptcy. And they could indeed take your taxes if you don't have a deferment handy. Do it. If you have a fax machine handy, have the company send you the info to consolidate your loans and then all of that into the Ford deferment. Then fax the info to them. You could have the deferment process started and possibly completed by the end of this week. (This may not work for the 2006 tax year but you have it for 2007.) Then you have some breathing room, and continue to keep up the deferrment until you have the ability to pay.

Good luck!
