"It makes sense that if somebody is trying to harm our troops or stop us from achieving our goal, or killing innocent citizens in Iraq, that we will stop them," President Bush said on Friday.

Do you believe Bush is speaking the truth, or are the Iranians in Iraq there to help with Iraqi reconstruction?

I'm looking for honest answers. I, for one, do not trust Iran or its policies, but am interested in what others believe to be the truth of the situation. Thanks.

trhe biggest mistake that was committed by the us administration is that it belived men of iranian origins, iranian deep loyality who declired that they were the viraqi opposition during the saddam regime.if you are serious about researching this matter, check ntheir name, and see their roles after the invassion.see how many of them are leading the iranian backed militias who played havoc in iraq.the administration was simply fooled.the result is that us paied dear blood and mony, iran got strong foothold in the whole middle east, fighting usa in iraq, occupying the us forces so much to the extent that the us administration is almost paralysed against the iranian efforts to be a neculear power.the latest us intellgence reports indicates that iraq is supporting al-qaieda in iraq.usa invaded iraq after it was eluded that the shiaas who are majority were badly saupressed in iraq.well the shiaas, and usa knows are not the majority, for the 6 million kurds are sunnies.no2,is that, the majority of the baath party command was shiaas, like mohammed al-zubaidi(ex prime minister, sadoon humadi (his original name is abdul-zahra lolah (ex prime minister & parlement speaker),mizban khither hadialsaadoon,...etc,not mentioning the majority of the army generals, including one of the chiefs of the staffs.well, those who formed the baath party in iraq in 1948 were shiaas, like fuad al rikabi and saadoon hummadi .these lies were composed in iran, were belived and supported by amewricans.and now the americans are paying dearly for them.they are now like that who half swallowed a razor blade,he can nither compleatly swallow it,nor take it out.

The shia are Iranians by culture and tribe. Thus it makes sense for the Iranians to help them rebuild it also makes friends with those that it helps. This gives Iran a good reputation with the local population and creates a wedge between the locals and US. Every time they see us were are blowing up the neighborhood or breaking down there doors looking for bad guys activities that don't make you popular with the locals. Every time the Iranians come around they bring money and helping hands to rebuild there neighborhoods this can only end with Us looking like the bad guys in the eyes of the locals. The same is going on with the Sunni's only in there case the Saudis and Syrians are writing the checks. meanwhile we chase our tails beating down militia groups and gangs that never seem to be short of recruits. It's long past time to admit this whole thing is and was worthless from the start and it's time to leave them to sort this out for themselves. If Malaki and his govt falls and some other group takes over fine by me. The Al Qaeda types are nobodies in this fight and won't make up the new govt or be able to set up camps either that is conservative propaganda the local warlords don't like al qaeda because they are not part of a local tribe and are not to be trusted. So let Iraq break up and be done with this stupidity pride isn't worth the lives being lost and won't salvage the situation.

Only the most dense can possibly believe that Iran only wants a nuclear fuel program. Of course they want nuclear weapons, most countries do and to deny it is just obfuscation. To believe them is a display of naivety second to none.

Does Iran want to help with reconstruction in Iraq? Only if they gain control of the country and spread their particularly vile brand of fundamentalism. Iran's stated intent is to destroy the west, it has been repeated over and over and still some don't listen. But then, many ignored Hitler when he announced exactly what he was going to do and remember the mess that caused.
