I would say a few things:
- anywhere within your budget
- anywhere you have never been
- anywhere fun and exciting that matches both yours and your spouses personalities. Such as if you absolutely HATE hiking- dont visit the wilderness (unless you stay in the cabin the whole time). If you absolutely HATE kids (hopefully not- but you never know nowadays) dont visit Disney.
A friend of mine actually goes to Wisconsin Dells every year on their anniversary. They went their for the honeymoon and had a blast- there are so many things to do- you can get coupon books that can save you hundreds of dollars.
Try a nice cruise to Alaska during the summer, visit monuments, Grand Canyon or places like those.

I personally would go for a little adventure and avoid cruises, resorts, and major tourist destinations (like Honolulu). I'm not a fan of prepackaged, "McDonalds"-type trips. Depending on your budget, the Columbia River gorge area is amazing, there are some fantastic towns in the south of France (and southern Germany, anywhere in Italy, anywhere in Switzerland), Peru is amazing if you are more adventurous than most. On my list of places to go before I die if it is possible: New Zealand, Japan, Baja California, Costa Rica, India, Glacier National Park, Alaska....the possibilities are endless.

Whatever you can afford. If money is an issue, try finding an all inclusive package. You can get a good deal at the below vendors. If you use a travel agent, you can put a down payment and then make monthly installments. If money is no object, well then the world is at your feet - ask your fiance where he wants to go.

Well a Caribbean cruise is always fun, and you get to see a couple different islands. The downside is the rooms are small. If you want to fly directly to an island, I would recommend St. Maarten. It's a beautiful island and is cost friendly. Also, St. Thomas (U.S Virgin Islands) is supposed to be amazing.

Me and my fiance just booked at southcaribbean cruise. It is reasonably priced, lots to do on and off the ship, and the food is out of this world.
If you want a bigger room get a room with a balcony.

You can never go wrong with a cruise; you can always do the Caribbean or Alaska.
I'm going to take my gal Melrose to Alaska on a cruise for ours.
