My dog (a big one) was called Lady, a boy. i always doubted naming such a manly dog Lady but u know girls," yeah yeah Ladys a lovely name" Well anyway ,he confessed one nite when blind drunk that he certaintly wouldnt be calling his pups after himself,that the family name wasnt all that important to him,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, He couldnt do it to them he said.

That night he let loose and explained just why Dogkind do all the stuff they do and why. He even gave some tips on how to Bark without anydog knowing your names Lady.!!!!.

And all i learned that night and now he says he cant remember anything, and that it was a mistake, and could we just stay Friends? I mean that dogs got issues.

So make it a good one, do your would be pooch proud.

Whenever I get a new pet, I always wait until I have them to decide on a name, because after playing with them and getting to know their personality a little a good name will probably just come to you, it always works for me

I just got a puppy and I named her Charlotte. I love that name. You should probably pick a name that means something to you or maybe an artist or actor that you really enjoy.

My dogs are: Bob, Jake, Brody, Bridget, Jaclyn (Jackie)

I had eight puppies and named them: Bob, Jake, Max, Big Boy (1st one born & biggest) Chloe, Sophie, Jaclyn and Daisy (my favorite flower) I kept three of the puppies.

I think they respond better to one or two syllable names.

I think it depends on the breed. Small dog or a big dog. My dogs are Boxer and Lab/Beagle mix.
