Before you prescribe a remedy, you must identify the cause.
While the global climate change has been measured, and is increasing in temperature, no one yet has provided data on the degree to which global climate change is caused by natural variation or man-induced trends.
So, before you demand a "remedy", you had best understand the cause of what you are trying to correct.
Recall that "doctors" at one time cut people and forced them to bleed excessively, to try and reduce their fever.

We have been fed a barage of panic senarios for decades now and yep some holds true. I have grown up in this 'environmentally aware' generation and now begin to question where the info is from and to what purpose does it serve.
Governments and industry making billions for the few is what drives the world, power and greed for the few infects us all at one level. We need to ensure our actions are the best we can do and leave the planet in as gud condition as we found it or beta.
Teach our children to respect and help each other for the gud of all not the one. Illimination of poverty will reduce the need for exploitation which is a large part of humanitarian and global problems.
Read The Skepical Environmentalist by Byorn Lomborg a truly enlightening book.
I do not know the answer but a balanced informed approach that is ethical must surely be a step in the right direction.
Reduce waste and pollution where you can and be mindful of your actions and teachings.

I know the world is warming, you have to be very ignorant to disagree. But there is no one alive that knows why, this man made crap I just don't buy sorry.... The world has been warming long before the start of fuels burning, granite it doesn't help but I mean really you think this is the main reason???? The Desert areas have been expanding for the last 10,000 years according to history think they had 100,000sqf factories and big SUV's then???
The fact is we don't' know crap when it comes to this issue we can only assume, The reason you see global warming pop up so much lately is I mean its hot it sells it makes money believe it or not! These guys doing all this research make money they don't do it for free and as long as money is thrown to them by governments they will claim things that will bring it.... We are warming and to be honest not a person in this world can explain it.We are warming at a faster rate simply because we are losing more and more ice caps the more we lose the faster it moves. open you freg. and test it it will stay cold for a while then the percent of warming will go up faster and faster as it loses its chill. I don't even think its rocket science., just a Little logical thinking.

NEWS FLASH from "The Ministry of the Bleedin' Obvious" - Climate Change is VASTLY ACCELERATED by MAN. CO2 concentration is 100ppm above what would be normal for the end of an ice age. CO2 holds heat - greenhouse effect - the planet will warm dramatically due to us. I guarantee it.
20 years is naff all in relation to the age of the planet, but the next 20 years are going to get hotter and hotter and hotter. Will you trust scientists then to put the brakes on? Remedy - STOP RELEASING CO2 NOW!
Life will survive. Humans will prob fight each other to the death for the last chicken in Tescos.
This isn't a protectionist racket by scientists, it's lots of scientists all over the world, stating the facts. Now please WAKE UP!

I doubt it. Most people are doing something now to limit global warming and if that doesn't make sufficient difference then something major will be brought in like banning carbon fuels.

If anything, warmer climate creates a more diverse population of species, while a colder climate reduces the number of diverse species.
The earth is either warming or cooling, as it has since the beginning of time. There is no such thing as a static climate. Man is insignificant when it comes to the ability to change the climate. It's a natural occurrence just like the climate changes of the past.

It is not a threat to life, it is a threat to some forms of life, the more developed forms of life, K selected species, that have less capacity of reproduction-evolution than r selected species.
Examples of K species are elephants, humans, dolphins, etc. We could them highly developed species.
Examples of r species are waterfleas, insects, and bacteria. They are very opportunistic. The attributes of a r-selected species include a short maturation tim, breeding at a young age, a short lifespan, producing many offspring quickly, small offspring, high mortality rates of young, and nonexistent parental care.
We expect in the short term (if we are not suffering it yet) bigger populations of those species and new mutations of them, more bacteria than insects and more than waterflies.
Another threat is viral (virus) mutations due to changes in climate.
See world health organization below, for example, regarding avian influenza and its expected mutations
Regarding remedies, only governments can fix those issues. Remedies at my hand (and all citizens together) does not fix anything, we don t rule about GHG, nuclear wastes, SO2 pollution, electricity generation sources, etc. only politicians do.

There is this thing called carbon offsetting that you can do. Basically you pay for the amount of carbon dioxide you produced in e.g.a flight, a car journey, and the money goes to prevent global warming. It's great for presents and stuff. Go to
www.climatecare.co.uk to find out more.
