If a person, church, religion (of any sort) is based on Love, tolerance and is able to evolve (in the same way as life does) then humanity would repair itself too. If we judge others and feel the need to root their 'evil' out, is that being Christian? I say that we should just Love and leave the rest to the God of our hearts to do the rest. Take the log out of our own eyes before taking a splinter out of others.
PS. Just mention the word Love and down go the thumbs. In an ideal world I should love the person who gave it to me, but I don't, so I'm imperfect and I'm what's wrong with the world and the Church too.

Most religions are at the root of wars and suffering in the world aren't they. I say most because not all are. Jesus told us how to find the true religion in Matthew chapter 7. He likened a religion to a tree, he said that a good tree would produce good fruit, or a good religion would be doing good things. It would not be backing wars, etc. In John 13:35 Jesus said that his disciples or true followers would be recognised by having love amongst themselves. Do the majority of churches today have this love? NO! Look carefully, do not tar all religion with the same brush as I have found that one religion does match up to God's requirements.

-That indeed is true as the derivation of Christendom comes NOT from the Christianity of Christ, but of the mockery of Christianity by the pseudo christian Constantine. (300 AD
--He started his mock christianity by murdering many of his immediate family--wife, son etc. because they would not be baptized into his "christianity"!
--Throughout history the Protestant realm has been no different than the Catholic--with their crusades & inquistion -(lasting some 5 centuries)
Please note what a Hindu said about his view of hypocritical christianity?
*** gt The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived ***--Preface
Mohandas Gandhi, was moved to say: ‘I love Christ, but I despise Christians because they do not live as Christ lived.’
Please note the reality of Christ and the worship of his God that he instituted, that did not have the depravity & filth of modern day Christendom(Church system) even his imperfect disciples had a good affect on all those who followed their example, far after Christ died--perhaps at least some 150 years, before the apostasy from the teachings & example of Christ set in.--
--Because of the skeptics who even doubted the existence of Christ note what was said:
*** gt The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived ***Preface
Answering such skeptics, the respected historian Will Durant argued: “That a few simple men should in one generation have invented so powerful and appealing a personality, so lofty an ethic and so inspiring a vision of human brotherhood, would be a miracle far more incredible than any recorded in the Gospels.”

I am not Christian, but what makes you think that the church is to blame for all the problems. Most of the Christians i know are humble people, getting on with thier lives and following thier faith. They follow the bible, not the church, but use the church as a place to worship. If everywhere else is unclean, that is the fault of man, not the church. If the people in the church are unclean themselves and cause problems, that is for the ones in charge to resolve it.

Partially agree! The 'church' (the people not the building) should have their primary focus on 'cleaning up self' secondary cleaning up others; instead of primary focus 'cleaning up others' secondary focus 'cleaning up self'. After all, self is clean (ha ha)! Look at the division of 'Christianity' in this country (USA) presently.

i think that there is a few problems in the church and they are that people don't practice what they preach and i really am starting to believe that pascal's wager is being taught in the churches as well as i see many people spitting out pascal's wager left and right

Discuss in progress.
The Church is a hospital for sinners. Not a museum for saints.
May the Lord richly bless you.

uhmmm...the church and its teachings are rooted in humanity. The human condition is riddled with problems, sinfulness, you cannot get around it as much as we try. But in the human condition among the problems there is beauty. Which do you choose to concern yourself with?
