UK Inland Revinue want to reduce me tax code by £3000 how much would this cost me per month on my £25,000 pay

If memory serves me correctly from when I did paye in the UK the tax code denotes how much you can have before they start taxing you so on it will cost you the tax on £3k which is what? 22% or something which is £660 a year, about £55 a month.

That's my understanding anyway but they are very helpful in the tax office, you could just ring and ask them.
