To somewhat extent yes.
However now they have ionic dryers that are less damaging and you can also buy heat protectant sprays or gels.

I started using a product called Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Vera Shampoo. It's a green bottle with a picture of an olive on front. (if you type olive oil shampoo in yahoo image search it's the 3rd pic on the second row or just cut and paste the link and it will show picture. You can find this product in you local Wal-mart stores for about $5.00. You don't even need to use conditioner. It's located in the hair products for isle for African-American type hair. I am hispanic with really curly hair and have always used both shampoo and conditioner plus detangler. Now I just use this. It leaves you hair smooth, clean and removes all residue from scalp. I know, i use lots of hairspray and straighten my hair everyday with an ionic blowdryer and people often rave on how shiny and beautiful my hair looks. Another product i combine is the the same brand but its Oil Sheen Spray to help straighten. Just a little goes a long way other wise it becomes too oily. Just a quick spray about 6-8 inches from hair, and I do mean quick!

No, not if you smooth protective serum on your hair before blow drying. However, without protective serum, any heated hair appliances are bad for your hair and if you have naturally dry/frizzy hair anyway, it's probably best not to use them anyway. Also, always blow dry the hair downwards to prevent it from becoming damaged.

Blowing drying your hair, damages the scalp, it becomes dry..... also cause breakage, it takes away the moisture of the hair...
If you have to blow dry use a cream/oil for blowing drying....they sell it in stores...

However... yes because it is hot air blowing into your hair and skin. And it makes the hair dry and not nice. But don't worry I use it in winter so my hair dries easier.
Wel good luck on choosing to use hair dryers or not.

yeah supposedly. i used to blow dry my hair EVERY day, and i swear.. it was geting thinner. but ive stopped, i never do it. i just did it yesterday and my hair is SO much fuller and nicer! i recommend not blow drying your hair every day. if youre gonna do it, do it twice a week at the MOST!
plus, natural hair is always nicer!
