I have noticed these red dots on my arms that I've never had before. They are only on the bottoms of my arms (the lighter part, or inner part of my arm) from about my elbow to my wrist. I don't have them anywhere else on my body, they don't itch, they are very SLIGHTLY raised...you have to really be trying to feel if they are raised." I don't have the slightest clue as to what they are. I haven't changed my diet, I don't use lotion, haven't changed body wash or shampoo (that would get on my arms as I rinse). They have been there for about a month now and they have multiplied slowly. I just wonder what it is. I don't want to go to the doctor for something that isn't bothering me. I'm just curious. Lotion doesn't help it, my skin isn't dry, it doesn't hurt, and it's not "zit-like". Just a red dot. And it's on both arms. Hmm.. Anyone have any ideas?

I have red, slightly raised bumps on my arms, too. I am not sure if they are the same, but they sound similar. I went to the dermatologist about something unrelated, but when I asked about them, she said they were nothing to worry about.

She told me what they were called, but I don't remember. She said if they really bothered me, I could try exfoliating gently every day, and then putting lotion on the area. I don't know if that works, because they weren't bothering me enough to try.

I will get small, pinkish little spots, probably no bigger than a beauty mark on the insides of my arms, and sometimes on my wrists. It doesn't happen very often...they don't itch, and usually go away within a few days. I've decided that it's probably from an allergic reaction to something (God knows what...it could be a lot of things...) Once I figured out it was a scented lotion I was using...but if you haven't altered anything in your diet or soap, I'm not sure what's going on. It may be caused by a lack of nutrients? Maybe cruise over to webmd and see what you come up with.

It could also be a condition called Keratosis Pilaris (or KP for short). It sounds really similar to what you're describing. I have it, except it is on my upper arm between my elbow and shoulder. It's estimated that 40% of Americans have it, just aren't aware because some cases are more mild than others.

If you do have it, there is a technique called oil-pulling that I've read about on some KP forums. Don't know exactly how safe it is to do since it involves swishing oil (vegetable, olive, sesame, etc.) around in your mouth for 20 minutes or so. Doesn't sound too tasty to me, so I avoid that.

It's best to check with your dermatologist though.

They could be petechia.

Essentially, it's like a low grade rash.

It's basically, an immune reaction. your immune system detects some toxins in your body and drops its load of antibodies etc like napalm.

This neutralises the toxins but damages the capiliaries.

Do some detox and sweaty exercise to get the garbage out.

Avoid sugar and sweets and don't stay up late or miss meals. Make sure your getting enough protein too. this is the foundation of an anti toxic lifestyle.
