their heads? (OK - this is my last question of the day.) Also,
most atheist probably don't like anyone being "The Boss" over
them, such as God. Truly though, God is "The Boss."

PS - I can find no positive people that answered
this. The Bible says, Jude Verse 8: Likewise
also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject
authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. Jude V. 18:
How they told you there would be mockers in the
last time ..walking in ungodly lusts.

many times i do not difficulty bringing up myself as an atheist until eventually the question is of a philosophical kind which couldn't directed at anybody team. i am going to cite it then to verify its sparkling what point of view i'm coming from as i have stated maximum individuals do in such situations, even if Universalist or Pagan or Taoist, or what have you ever. i am going to do this extraordinarily on questions that are addressed "Christians and atheists." If a query is addressed to atheists solely and that i say "I" in my reaction i assume the asker is sensible sufficient to maintain in mind that i'm between those being addressed.

I realize that you believe that, that you've been reared with the notion of a God and a Devil fighting a spiritual war over each person's soul, but atheists don't believe in supernatural beings--not gods, not angels, not demons or devils, not souls, not Cyclopes, and not unicorns.

We find your warning about "The Devil" as silly as most people would an adult running up and warning that there are monsters living in every closet and a bogeyman under each bed.

There is no "Devil", no "God", and what atheists object to is superstitious religious leaders being appointed "the boss".

If a perfect, omniscient being who created the universe showed up and wanted to be the boss, I'd be glad to accept him as such. That's not what's happening, and you know it. What we have instead is that imperfect beings - people - are claiming to speak for such a perfect being and insisting that claim justifies their actions. Since those people are not as smart as I am, not as well-behaved as I am, and simply wrong about so many of their core beliefs, I am not at all inclined to accept them as "the boss". In fact, if we were basing authority on merit, I should be their boss (that'd put an end to this kind of idiocy pretty quickly).

Your claim that this is about atheists not accepting "God" as their boss is simply false - in short, you're lying. It's exactly this kind of dishonest behavior that the atheists here are so fervently objecting to. If you can't bring yourself to behave, you don't deserve our respect.

1. What is "The Devil"? please tell us more.
2. Also, what does, "Also, most atheist probably don't like anyone being "The Boss" over them" mean? Where did you find this statistic, I would really like to know.
3. By the way you should mention which God you beleive in. You could be talking about thousands of very different gods people have believed in over the last thousands of years. WHICH GOD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???

Wow, glad to know where all of the evil in my life is coming from. You know, the marriage, kids, job...

You are a tremendous bore, with insulting people who don't believe the same way as you. Your truth does not equal THE truth.

Atheism is not about rebellion, or not wanting a "boss". It means that the atheist does not believe in God. Period. It's not fear based, or based on wanting to keep some sort of "immoral" lifestyle.

Enough.

Oh spare me! I feel so bad for you and the small, closed off, fear based world you live in.

The devil is not real...but a fictional entity made up to bear the burden of evil and guilt for the world. As a pagan, I know that the Goddess and God are the Divine, but we work with them knowing that they are loving parents.....not some angry single dad that seeks to punish his children. Would you put your children in the oven for eternity? No? Neither would God. Give it up and open your mind and heart to all that is.

I respect your b eliefs, but I disagree. The devil is not real, he was made up by men who did not want to take responsibility for their own actions ("the devil made me do it") We are our own boss, we can make our own choices, but we must understand that with every action there is a natural consequence. This is not punishment from God, in fact, it is a gift. How else could we learn to make good decisions? I used to believe in the devil, until I finally chose to take responsibility for my own actions. Now I understand that if something goes "wrong" in my life, it is my own fault- not God's, not the devil's, and not any other person's. In this way I grow with every experience. Peace to you.

Now why would people who don't want God to boss them around let the Devil boss them around?

And why on Earth do you think this is remotely appealing to any atheist?

No I never knew that about the Devil but it's a convenient excuse to use the next time I sin.

I contend that the Devil wrote your bible and atheists are the only ones who know the truth. I have the same amount of proof for my assertion as you do in believing it is the word of your "god."

PS: atheists don't believe in the devil. Many know your devil character was taken from previous gods of other cultures.
