It is a basic human need. There is an empty hole in each person's heart that can only be filled with God's love. Each search, in their own way, to fill this love - some try to fill it with good deed, others' love and respect, drugs, success - but until the hole is filled through Christ Jesus, the need to be loved will remain.

Love is a sense of being paid attention to...being paid some worthy homage. Now if you are not paid attention to, you are not nurtured and if you are not nurtured, generally you don't survive. Someone had to at least nurture you to make you feel worthy of getting the nurturing you need by begging for it if they didn't at least help you get it initially or give it to you unconditionally.

Love is a glue of the universe. It keeps us stable and balanced. Without love it would be a destructive existence, if it could even exist.
