I have a laptop and recently I have to format the hard drive and reinstall everything including XP. Before the format everything worked perfectly. However, whenever I try to watch DVD's or an video clips now, it works perfectly for about 5 minutes and then the clip starts slowing down, the sound continues but the video becomes really slow. I currently use real media player and the latest version of windows media player and the exact same problem occurs with both programs. Any suggestions?

As far as DVDs.. Try downloading or purchacing PowerDVD or WinDVD. Those should work for you. As far as your Misc Videos. The best thing you can do is Divx. If your laptop still has these problems.. You have a hardware problem.
