For those who don't know, Yahuweh is the El of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You know, the One who gave the ten commandments. Yahuweh is not Hebrew for god, El is Hebrew for god. Yahuweh is the name of the El of Yisrael.
I don't think this question is asked in a wise manner. There are people from all races that don't reverence him. Many Hebrews, Africans, Asians, and Indians have the same beliefs as whites do.
There are some in every race that do and do not show reverence for Him. Most people think they do, but through their ignorance of Him, don't. A more sufficient question would be how come the world doesn't reverence Yahweh.

Yahweh is the Hebrew word for God, and White people revere Him as the most holy Supreme Being. As do Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians.

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" - Rom 3:10
In all fairness, this question should not just be aimed at whites. But since it is, I'd like to comment to everyone out there calling him/herself a Christian that when you see the words "LORD" and "GOD" in your bibles, the original word was YAHWEH.
To Mindi, you seem to think that the true name of the Creator, YAHWEH denotes Judaism, making it irrelevant to your religion and it does not. God is a generic title just as "Friend" would be a generic name instead of Luvly for me. If you choose to read the Scriptures, don't take what you like and leave what you don't, make it all or nothing because it's not just for Hebrews, it's for all who wish to serve the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob...YAHWEH. When it speaks about the Father in heaven, who do you think it's referring to? Answer: YAHWEH.

First, I would phrase the question as why do "some" wht ppl... ?Otherwise your audience assumes to some extent that you are making a generalization - and referring to all of them.
Second,to give an answer here... I would say that it might be because those who are not Jewish....are not taught Hebrew and have no clue as to who Yahweh is.
Speaking from personal experience...growing up in a Christian home as a child.....A great deal of people teach, and are taught, only what they feel is important to their religion....which often excludes learning about the other ones, and this, I feel, leads to the animosity and intolerance we now expereince 10fold in our society today.

Those who believe in him probably do, I guess;)
Those who don't believe in him or any other Deity, just see the story told in the Bible for what it really is: a remake (written obviously by men) of much more ancient Sumerian texts telling the original story, according to which the one who later one became known as YHWH, is nothing but Enlil (literally: Lord of the Command), one of the Annunaki Princes who came down to Earth some 435.000 years ago, and who (like every Annunaki) has NEVER been immortal; he was instead (like all the others) endowed with a much much longer life span compared to Earthlings;) READ, it'd do you some good;) Peace.

I like sounds of words. Yah weh sounds like "your way" to me. So how come people have no reverence for my way? I guess they have been raised different. I guess they have been taught to revere certain things because it gets them their essential services and security. I guess they don't want to give up status and probably haven't been taught to think about life to care about my way. I am a Forgive Affirmed Spirit.

Stereotypes are never correct for any large group.
That said...YAHWEH is just another in a long list of mythical, made-up gods created by superstitious people who didn't understand the world. These are people who thought thunder was "god" being angry, who thought "god" made the sun rise in the morning, etc. Superstition, ignorance, and myth. Intelligent people understand this and rely on knowledge, understanding, and evidence to run their lives, not the superstitious rantings of ancient igorants.
