LMAO...and I was just beginning to like you!!! :P
This middle aged woman is happy with her body and although I did buy some old ladies face cream this weekend :).....I would never dream of trying to dress like a 20 yr old (actually didn't do it much when I WAS 20! )

Some don't want to face facts that they are getting older. They may not look say, 50, but they don't look 20 either. Fear is a factor, as is (in the case of single women) a loss of desireability. A case in point is one of my co-workers. She's a year older than I am but dresses in very tight outfits and high heels, and struts around like she should be dancing around a pole. Even though her last job evaluation mentioned that her attire was distracting and not really suitable to an office environment she refuses to change. While she's not ugly she's no nineteen year old supermodel.
Then again, there are all types who BELIEVE they are beautiful, even if most people think they are not.

For many it IS vanity, and they just want to show off what they feel is a youthful vibrant body. They may be trying to "fool" others, but you know who they are trying to fool. For others, they still "think" they are young because they feel young. Ya know, this is true for even 50, 60 and even 70 year olds.

I like the fact that mature women try to look younger. I also think you will understand when you get middle aged. Ever notice that the young girls try to dress so they would look older? It's a natural process.

A woman wants to feel good about herself and this has nothing to do with middle age crisis. Women are taking care of their bodies and if they can do it, I say more power to them.
