Very Good Question. Faith comes from hearing the work of God according to Romans 10:17, so I guess you have to listen to the word of God. The problem with that is where can you hear it. Randomly choosing a preacher to give it to you is a bit risky as you could end up listening to the guy linked below. It seems like everyone has to come up with their own faith in their own way. Which kinda brings it all down to earth.

Faith leads people to have impossibly high expectations. Why don't you settle for something realistic? If you're satisfied with waking up again tomorrow and seeing some friends, getting a good meal inside you and having some fun, your wishes are more likely to be fulfilled. Hope for a happy life. It beats hoping for an afterlife.

It seems contradictory to say that you have no faith and yet, expect God to give you hope ! God does not have to give you anything. Once you have mentally decided against the existence of God, then there is nothing left and, you are on your own !

Because Hope is a product of Faith. Heb 11:1 defines it by saying "Faith is the assured expectation of things HOPED for. The evident demonstration of realities tho not beheld." You cannot have real hope without having faith in the One who gives it.

Try a different perspective on God. The Abrahamic death cults of Islam, Judaism and Christianity have done terrible things to the representation of God. Look into Paganism....there are many different aspects of God, many paths that can give you hope. Paganism also supports science including the big bang theory, evolution and logical reason.
I often wonder how many atheists would be atheists if they had found paganism before losing the entirety of their faith....as it can give one a spiritual base without losing one's sanity and reason.

You sound very desperate. Perhaps you should ask God sincerely to guide you to the correct path.
As for me, I could discuss with you the Islamic faith; according to the Sunni doctrine. I am sure you'll find Allah the god you've always dreamt of worshipping.
Peace!

In order to believe in God you have to have faith, That is one of the central tenets of Christian belief.
So why you are asking an entity you do not believe in to give you hope?
I think you have answered your own question.

By the virtue of being able to ask that question, it shows that God has given you the need to ask, therefore you have a possibility to reach it.
Most people in my faith believe, if God doesnt want you to have something, He wouldnt give you the feeling of wanting it.
