I'm getting married in June and I'm trying to find some ideas for truely unique wedding favors. I want to do something different and fun. My wedding colors are green and pink. If you guys can give me some ideas that would be great! I don't care if they are crazy and weird, but the lower the budget the better :)

msann, yes i agree with you. Thats why i want to think of something cool. I was in my sisters wedding and she gave out CDs, and everyone loved them. I don't think a single person would trash a CD with good music on it. I don't want to copy her idea, but I do want something that's not too cheesy.

Hillary try to think of something that has signifcance to you and your fiance that you want to share with your guests. I'm going to print cards that tell how my finance proposed (it was uniquely different and special) and tie small, fake rings onto the cards with a bow. The card will have our first names and our wedding date on them as well. As for the guest to have something for them, I'm going to put candy on the tables for them to take home as well.

I would say make colored treats similar to your wedding in cute little bags with ribbons to match.

Making a treat such as cookies or covered pretzels with other treats in the bag would be wonderful becaue the guests can enjoy them after the wedding. Pink and green are so pretty together!

Cd's sound good- but everyones music tastes are different, and you dont want to waste money on something that some may not enjoy.

I have heard everything from bottle openers to gift cards (VERY expensive though). I have been told that guests do not want things with the bride and grooms names or pictures on them too though (when researching for favors for my own upcoming wedding).

Bookmarks, treats, frames (you can get little ones and put their names in them for place seatings and those can double up as gifts because they can take them home) are all good gifts that are inexpensive that guests may like. I have also seen at a wedding that the couple gave away the centerpieces as gifts to some as well. One that was really pretty was a friend of my fiance's got married and her colors were green and yellow. her centerpieces were big vases with green apples and sunflowers in them. there was a polka dot yellow and green ribbon tied around it. It was so pretty. But at each table before the guests got there they had put a big yellow star under the chair (hers was unassigned seating). The guests were told at a point in the wedding to feel nder their chairs. Whoever got the star won the vases... I didnt get one though :0( but im not mad! :0)

For the children (if you have any), make little grab bags with a coloring book, crayons and a few treats and maybe those little toys. You can get those type of favors from http://www.orientaltrading.com to fill the bags- plus they also have an awesome selection of wedding decorations you can use!

Good luck and congratulations!

There are many options out there for wedding favors that you can do for a low cost. You could go to your local craft store and catch a sale on small silver frames and print out pictures of the bride and groom on your home pc at a rather cheap price. You could also purchase shot glasses with your name and date on them there is a site for that at http://www.discountmugs.com/usa/wedding-favors.htm
you will see that you can get things for about $100 depending on the size of your wedding… and if you think about it adding another $100 to your bill is not really all that much while at the same time you are sending a nice memory home with all of your guest.
One thing was done at a recent wedding I was at was each table setting had a small fishbowl type glass container filled with colored glass beads and a small votive candle, the color theme matched the wedding theme. Not only did it serve as the take home gift it also was apart of the table decorations adding a nice lighting effect to the room as well. What they did was had a flower center piece and then put the candles around it and when the guest were leaving they each got to take one home with them.

a recent thing that i've seen is instead of wasting money on favors that lots of people trash anyways, the couple will make a donation to a charity on behalf of the guests at the wedding. then all guests receive some notice that the donation has been made in their name. kinda of cool idea, i think.

This is where i got the idea for the favors I'm using:

There are some pretty functional ones on here, and most of them are very unique. There are only about 25 to look through, so it might be worth a quick look.

I will be married in June as well and for my favours I have gone to the dollar store and bought a bunch of picture frame that are 5X7. There will be an archway set up at the door when people come in. I will be having a friend at the door to greet the people as they come in. When they come in she will ask them to stand by the archway and take their picture. In the meantime they will receive the photo frame with a saying along the lines of Thank you for Sharing our special day yadi yadi ya. Then when I send them their thank you cards there will be a picture of the couple in the frame.

It is fairly inexpensive as you will only have to buy one picture frame per couple as opposed to two favours per couple.

They will also get a nice photo remind them of your day of them all spiffed up.

**Don't for get to keep a list as you take the pictures so that you are sure the right picture is sent to the right couple (eg. Jane and John Doe Picture one, film canister one)

**If you don't want to send the picture to them in the frame you can have some on run out during dinner to a one hour photo shop, put the picture in the frame an have each couple pick it up on their way out.

My sister wants to do glass picture coasters. I've seen some for around $1. You can include a picture of the happy couple and the guest has the option of leaving that picture in or adding their own.

Any bath products would have the colors you mentioned for example Scented Bath Caviar, Scented Bath Gel, etc. You can give a Green Apple scented soap to the guys and Pink Rose scented for the girls. However, I don't know if the guys would want these. Check with your future hubby. Congrats
