I love YA seems less meaningful...almost more of a friendly version, rather than a serious "I love You".

I used to get: i luv u, in text messages, but then sometimes my gf would write: i really love you!!! I really do!
So my interpretation is that there is the everyday: I love ya! that is just a phrase as good as good night or see ya,
and there is the: I love you! when the person really is expressing his/her feelings.
However, if the relationship is good in general, then i don't think it's necessary to pay attention to this.
If you are together on a long term, which you are, then it is important to be able to find a way to communicate on an everyday basis, where it's is not always necessary or healthy to give too much value to how this is said.

Wow.
Obsess much?
Classic over-analysis.
I know what you are thinking - he's screwing someone else so it's his way of subtly pulling back from you, turning you from a "you" into a "ya". Oh my dear god it's the beginning of the end.
In reality, he's more comfortable with you, and changes it up so it doesn't sound like a g*ddamned robot is saying it the exact same way every time. Because if he did, you'd obsess on *that* and be here asking, "he says it the same way every time. does that mean he has no real feelings for me?"
Stop creating drama where there is none. If you want more drama, date an outlaw biker.
Here's a magical thing you can do to find out - ASK HIM what it means.

He still likes you!
At about 32 months you've just become more comfortable with each other and don't feel the need to be like the same cliched couple saying the same thing all the time.

I never thought about the difference until you brought it up, but I do think there is a difference.
I love ya = casual. I could say this to anyone.
I love you = I'm reserving that phrase for a special girl in my life.
PS. I don't use either phrase currently.

First of all is he doing this on purpose or is he just slurring his words? Yes, I have to agree that there is a difference in the two. Maybe you should just bite the bullet and out right ask him. There is really no other way to truly find out. Good Luck

Love is the really important word. You is more formal. Ya is more fun, I think he's just trying to be cute.
No difference. I think ya is actually better, its more casual and everyday vs. I love you.

I love ya is more friendly type of way and I love you is more serious. I used to tell my exboyfriend I love you when we were together and now that we are friends we tell each other I love ya.

I think he's just being more familiar. I tell my wife "Love you" or "Love ya" with every phone call and e-mail, and she knows it means I still adore her.
You might find out if his feelings about marriage have changed...
