if both people want it; are honest with eachother; no one gets hurt; and you dont get an STI. its still not as good as doing it with some one you love right?

Sometimes, although rarely, one night stand can be amazing sex, sex that you wouldn't otherwise do with someone you love. However usually it is not. Usually it is a lot worse, since you don't know how each others body works, what the other likes or dislikes, and it may feel awkward the first time.
If you know the person you are having sex with, and you like her, the sex can get so much better!

It's really a personal preference type thing, if you are attracted and available it can be just as exciting as if you were in "Love."
Love is over rated and people dont seem to understand that alot of us in this world are the result of one night stands which is sad to say but is really the truth. So lets thank everyone who has had a child resulting from a one night stand, I think it has something to do with the United States being at 300+ Million now. Gotta love the freedoms :P

One night stands are a quick fix to meeting a physical and sometimes, emotional need. They are destructive, non-productive and a waste of the precious gift that is reserved for love. And one way or another, someone always gets hurt, because you can't help but feel used-- which plays into your self-esteem.
If you have to try and justify a one-night stand, you have answered your own question.

My Mum always told me that sex was only any good if it was with the right person. I never believed her until I met my true love.
I have no moral issue with one night stands and the sex can be fine as far as it goes but nothing compares to making love to a person that you truely love with all your heart. Because of the bond and the trust you share you can ask for anything, discuss anything and experiment as much as you want. Sex is definately better if it is with someone you love but sadly your batteries could run out waiting for Mr/Mrs Right so as long as your being careful don't beat yourself up about it too much.

They can work out fine. Sometimes a one night stand can even develop into something more. But as long as neither one has any expectations about anything further and knows what they're about they don't necessarily have to be a cold or impersonal experience. I've had some one night stands that I remember very fondly.

The coin can be flipped on both sides, on the one hand it is no strings attached sex with a stranger/someone you know, and on the other it is sometimes a degrading form of intimacy with someone that you are never going to see again - which may be a good thing!. I think that as long as you are up front with the person, use protection and aren't with someone else, then no-one can get hurt and plus it sometimes curbs those feelings/cravings you get that you have to have sex with someone

If they're both consenting adults and use protection both know where they stand and that it is only for one night then why not as long as neither are been deceptive to someone else..Sometimes they are good just to boost the ego and make someone feel alive again especially if they've been stuck in a stale relationship for a long period of time...

Sex on one night stands is more pressured as you're with someone you are not likely to know and it's all about performance on the night. There's nothing wrong with having one as long as both understand what is happening and the necessary precautions are taken.
Sex in a relationship is always better as you get to know what your partner likes best and vice versa and the pressure to perform is less as you will have many goes at getting it right.
Whichever you choose, be safe and have fun.

speaking from personal experience, its wrong, the only person who enjoys a one night stand is the man. The grass is never greener on the other side.I regret that i actually did it to this very day and the guilt eats away at you especially if your with someone that you really love, but just wanted a bit of fun,to see what it was like to be with someone else.

I love my fiance very much and when we make love its absolutely wonderful, a beautiful thing that I enjoy very very much. However... Its just not the same as the passion and raw energy you can get from a one night stand. I plan on being married for life, so I know I'll never have one again, but they were wonderful.
