I'm 5'8 (173cm) and male. In this day and age this is below average and I was wondering if there were some simple solutions rather than using hormones etc to be or appear taller.

I do not mind if it only makes me appear taller or actually makes me grow.

Try wearing 'vertical striped' shirts and T's. Dark colors also make one appear less heavy which should give an overall appearance of being taller. Don't use drugs legal or otherwise.

Don't make too much of this. I'm 55 years old and am 5' 10" so what's the big deal. Don't obsess on it, just enjoy all life has to give you--be happy.

There are no techniques, dances, exercises, vitamins, supplements, drugs, herbs....nothing that is going to make you taller. Nothing. Your height is determined by your genes/genetics. You get as tall as you get and that's it. If you are under 21, you may have a chance of getting a little taller. If you are over 21, you are done growing. If you want to APPEAR taller, yes.....you will have to buy shoe inserts. Some can add 1-2 inches to your height. You have to get the right kind of shoes for them to fit into to get the most height. Look online for a company by searching under "shoe inserts."

Honey, be happy with God gave you. Everyone is not meant to be tall. Just stand up straight, keep your held held high. Your height is hereditary. Believe me , I'm female, but still being only 5'2" can have its disadvantages also. Besides alot of times ladies think shorter guys are so cute. Keep good posture and don't look down all the time.

I would suggest, shoe inserts, wearing vertical stripes, dating and being around shorter people, etc.

This whole thing sounds like a self-esteem issue to me. My grand-father was 5'6", and my father was 5'7" and both of them accomplished many wonderful things in life. It doesn't matter how tall you are. All that matters is what your talents are and how well you chose to use them in life. So stop worrying about your size so much and start focusing on your positive talents.
