I just answered a question, for someone, asking if they were destined to be alone.......
sometimes i wonder if it wouldn't be easier if we were like animals, and mated, and moved on.
Guess i'm just frustrated, but, again.....why the need, can't people be happy with themselves, and not look to others for their happiness..... oh what a wonderful world that would be.......

not a liberal junkie, I am just tired of being kicked in the teeth, as are alot of people you see on here. with all the problems and what not.
I just wish that people could find happiness in their own lives, and not always look to another to bring it to them.....

Very very good question!
When we meet someone and fall in love then we expect this person to make us happy. If this person doesn't make us happy after sometime for some reason, then we get upset, and we demand our partner to make us happy. If they don't then we will pick a fight or hurt them or leave them. That seems very selfish to me too.
It seems to me that people are becoming more and more egoistic. We are never satisfied with what we got, we always want more and we seem to believe that we are entitled to more.
Unfortunately i don't have a good solution for this but i agree with you, the world would be a better place if we didn't demand from others to make us happy.
On the other hand, if you are happy by yourself, with your friends and family, you will attract people to you who are also happy and healthy by themselves.
If you feel that are just half a person, you will attract people with the same attitude.

You arent understanding the basic primal nature of the human species and that is the pack mentality. We are not like tigers, where you mate and run. We are apes. Since the beginning of our existance, we have SURVIVED on a group order and we lust the feelings of belonging some where and connecting with other human beings.
There is a thing with if you keep a wolf-dog hybrid (a dog that has actual wolf genetics mixed with them) that if you do not have another one to bond with, they will be depressed and destructive. They need another of their OWN kind to keep them company. Humans are very similar. When we are alone or feel alone, we become depressed AND destructive of our surroundings and ourselves.
Do not judge those that feel they need some one. They feel left out on the joys of love and happiness. It is just that, they dont have the current skills to cope with such feelings and improve themselves so they CAN find some one and be happy. They are only doing what comes natural to them.
No matter HOW independant you are, you will always need some one in your life to fill the void. Whether its friends, a husband or family. Human's actually can die from living by themselves for too long.

Not everyone feels the need to be with someone to make them happy. In an intimate relationship or otherwise. Yes it would be a wonderful world if we felt we needed no one else to make us happy. We are social creatures. We do need each other. That we all know. On the other hand there are times I long to be alone. To rediscover me. The me that gets lost in everything else going on around me. The solitude. Variety is the spice of life. I love life. And all of those that share life with me.

Because we are social animals but yet we also need space as well to be alone and many are in to fast fixes that make us feel good and seem like we are happy for a time life and relationships have to be worked day by day, moment by moment and many people are afraid to look for inner strength fearing what they see instead of feeling and following their heart when things get tough, it easier to leave it than spending time to fix it

Since the beginning of time, we have been conditioned to live and die as one-half of a couple, and never as an individual. It's high time that more people stood up for single rights. You get the Rio Madeira Seal of Approval! (I'm a liberal junkie, by the way. Well, sort of.)

Honey,,,,if we never had the need to have someone then pretty soon there would be no people here at all. Ya just gotta have that need for someone else. That is how we are made.

i agree ---- im not looking to my lady to make me happy --- i want her to be happy ---- no i dont agree that we should mate and move on --- establishing a relationship is one of the greatest things two people can do --- they become more than the sum of the parts --- it can be very rewarding sensual intimate (not sex) affectionate and loving --- my best wishes to you
