I'm an admin assistant and my manager has asked me to put together a photo scavenger hunt as a team building exercise in New Orleans. What are some fun ideas/clues that I can use? I’ve never been to New Orleans myself.

Will it be limited to a certain area of the city, like the French Quarter?

If you are just going to be in the French Quarter there are a number of statues that you can use as objects. "Don't get burned at the stake, like her" for Joan of Ark. "The Battle of New Orleans wasn't just a song for this guy from Tennessee" for Andrew Jackson. "When people in New Orleans walk at this place they see a river, not a Sea of Tranquility" for the Moonwalk. (that might be a toughy.) "The former capitOl of French Louisiana" for the Cabildo. "The flag of Bourbon. As in Louie, not Jack" for the Bourbon Flag, the flag with a blue or white field with three Fleur de Lis. (Another toughy) "See the world from this cafe" for Cafe du Monde. "This courtyard is the best place to be for a Hurricane" for Pat O'Brien's. "Want to tick off a local, call this a trolley" for a streetcar.

All of the above are within walking distance if it is to be done in the French Quarter. Some of those are obviously easier than others, and they would need to be 18 to get into Pat O's. If it is to be done over a few days and people are able to drive, I'd give different targets, like the Superdome or the zoo. You may want to use a tourist book for some other target ideas. If alcohol is likely to be involved clues based on bar names or drinks shouldn't be too hard to come by.

Just one thing, don't send them into places where their photos may become prosecution's "Exhibit A" at Orleans Parish Criminal Court. Get advice from a local so people aren't travelling to or through bad areas.

Hope that helps.

I'm guessing by "photo scavenger hunt" people have to take the photos of the objects. Okay...New Orleans stuff...

fleur de lis, street musician, muffaletta, beignet, beads, sign for Bourbon Street, balcony, French Market, mule-drawn carriage

Hope that helps some
