What little tips do you have that motivate you to exercise and eat right? For example, I started this year walking on the treadmill and I earn 10 fantasy miles for every mile that I walk. I'm hoping to walk across the country by the end of the year. So far I've walked 308.85 fantasy miles. It's really been motivating to me and I'm hoping you have some things that have worked for you too.

i've got those days lost 10 pounds in 2 months and that i too have been over weight my entire existence. I had some style of epiphany in my sleep and that i awoke and mentioned, "i won't be able to make excuses anymore!" So, I went chilly turkey on sugar, salts, soda, grease, and something troublesome to digest. strolling helped lots. only 30 minutes an afternoon looks adequete for a newbie. rather, while the certainty of being depressed and over weight hits you in the face with a brick, attempt to stick to by using. sturdy success!

I keep pictures of my bodybuilding and running idols on my walls (like Steve Reeves and Steve Prefontaine). There is no better motivation than waking up and looking at your walls and being reminded of what you want to achieve. I also set my alarm cd player to wake me up with motivational songs (i.e. this morning I woke up to Your the Best by Joe Esposito and Never Surrender by Stan Bush)

i bought a dress that JUST NOW fits and i need to wear it in a few months. it doesn't exactly make me want to LOOSE weight but it sure as heck makes me think twice about some things i eat so i don't gain weight and cry a river when the time comes and the dress no longer fits

Weigh in every morning when I'm serious. It fluctuates of course - but it keeps me focused.

Also buy a target dress/outfit that is just a little to tight to wear. I bought a little black dress for my company Christmas party and wore if proudly.

Took all sugar completely out of my diet. Used honey instead of sugar. Drank a lot of water.
