My girl scout troop is doing a project called Think Globally, Think Locally and we have France. We have to provide a food for about 100 girls. The food has to have originated in France. I would appreciate any recipes or suggestions.

You could make some crêpes and stuff them with Nutella paste : http://food.yahoo.com/recipes/taste-of-home/114604/kids-crepe-roll-ups;_ylt=AqZOPK_HKKS5eX67rZVq2spIY.Y5.

Or, you could make a quiche with ham and spinach : http://food.yahoo.com/recipes/allrecipes/46570/basic-quiche-by-shelly;_ylt=Ao4rlli60n2NpGH0cE3.tzxIY.Y5.

Or, maybe some French toast : http://food.yahoo.com/recipes/allrecipes/36441/almond-french-toast;_ylt=AgtdKtT.EhKLP4yIHmjpajBIY.Y5.

What about canapes? They are fairly easy to make and can be topped with all kinds of wonderful things. This a great idea for kids because they are easy to assemble and are bite size for little hands. For more excellent ideas that are authentically french, visit: www.ffcook.com. then look under french buffet. I just found the site and I will be using it for entertaining ideas this year! Have fun!

I remember doing that when I was in scouts! We made French Bread, and Mousse.

We got to kneed the bread, and got to make the Mousse from scratch. I feel so sorry for your kitchen's though - 5 year olds and cooking tends to be messy - but fun :)

Good luck!
