Back for me. Then she will roll over on her tummy, and they say it's fine as long as I put her on her back when she goes to sleep. How about you?

I put my baby on her back until she could roll over. Since she is 7 months old now and able to move her head and roll around, I put her on her tummy.

I have four kids through all of this contoversy about back, side, stomach. I did the side thing because I felt that this was the halfway point so to speak. They wanted baby on there stomach in case of spit up and the thought of chocking, they want them on there back to prevent suffocation. I did the side with a pillow on either side to keep baby both snuggled as well in one position. And if they spit up it just fell out of the mouth, and there face was not being smothered face down in the crib. I hope that this helps. Good Luck...

My 2 moths old has colic. I lay him on his back sometimes when his gas is real bad. But I keep a close watch on him. As soon as he falls asleep I roll him over. For some reason it helps with the colic. Doctors say back is best to prevent SIDS

I put both of mine on their sides. Sometimes they slept on their backs or their tummies. Which ever way they would go to sleep and stay asleep really.

Mine always slept on their sides. I was afraid that if they were on their backs when they were teeny tiny and spit up that they would choke so I put them on their sides.
