I am a God-fearing WOMAN.
It is not about counting words, but about how important God sees this subject.
This is about serious Bible study. If you fear God, you will want to know what His Word says on the subject.
Woman's submission to her husband is as important man's submission to God. Ephesians 5:24 “Therefore AS the church is subject unto Christ, SO LET the wives be to their own husbands in EVERY thing."

Yes, channiek, the Bible does give man the mandate to love his wife as He loved the church. But I, as a woman, can not answer for my husband's shortcomings-only mine.

Cindy - I suppose your answer is the reason so many Christians marriages end in divorce-because the man is to blame that he did not find a woman who would submit. That is a lie. Obviously, if the "buck stopped" with man's submission to God (his head), God would not have made an issue out of woman's submission to the husband (her head). Your comment is how you wish it to be-not as God would have it. And not the answer to the question. If you can't find the answer, don't even post.

Thanks, TG. There is one more verse-can you find it?

The Bible says repeatedly for the wife to submit to their husband,it says one time in Titus for them to love him, emphases being placed on submission because women at times have issues with it(especially in this culture). The Bible tells the husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church & gave Himself for it,which is a pretty high love. Ladies, love the man Father gave you & never ever belittle & down him,in private & or especially in the public. May all who read this have a wonderful marriage,I pray.

I am not a fan of counting words in the bible, although I know many who are.

One thing I am sure of, the bible will tell mankind to submit, obey and subject themselves to God many more times than it tells a woman to subject, submit and obey her husband.

A man who subject, submits and obeys God will have no problem finding a Christian woman who will gladly submit, subject and obey him. The buck starts and stops with the mans submission to God.

I as a woman fully approve of submitting my patronage to my husband who is probably adequate enough to fulfill my every need.

Thank you

Also, this submitting business is a rather refined thing. Not really the equivalent of giving over your entire life to someone.

Is she allowed to tap out after she has been submitted or are you supposed to break her arms/neck in your submission hold?

My dear friend you got a problem. What does it mean that a man should love his wife as himself and as Jesus loved the church. That is a bit of hard work hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
