I've had the opposite problem. Women give me their numbers, ask me to call, and when I do they act like they don't even remember, or are otherwise off-putting.

These women don't appear to be drunk, and they volunteered the info - I didn't even ask for the number! This has happened a few times over the years.

Maybe in both cases people are just a little tipsy and/or carried away by the moment, or are trying to be polite.

Although I was never given a wrong number to call, which I hear also happens.

You know, I may be one of those guys. But before you write them off as not interested, consider that they may have other things going on in their lives or maybe just too scared to p/u the phone and call you. If you are interested you are correct in calling them yourself. The phone does go both ways and I am certain if the guy is interested in you your phone call to him will be well received.

Yeah, but I never count on it. That was said to me 3 times in '06 by the same guy, and I never called him back. He was the one that felt like an azz. Everytime he would apologize for not calling and I am sitting there thinking, 'I am glad I never f'ed you.' He is totally on my jock now! I will take his calls and never tell him I will call him back.

Women do a lot more of this than men in my experience and after talking to a lot of them.

What they do even more is use answering machines to screen.

I'm a simple guy: if I am not interested in a woman, I tell her. I don't say I am going to call and then not do it. It's nice when a woman calls because it let's me know she is interested, and if I am a little interested, then I am suddenly more interested if she is interested too.

But it's rough out there. Dating sucks sometimes:)

Oh sweet cheeks. men are rubbih but we love them anyway! They don't call cos they don't get how important it is to you. I knew I found my no.1 man when he called me on time - 8 years later still loved up. If he doesn't call don't sweat it - he isn't worth it and you should be out on the town and not waiting around for someone who doesn't appreciate you!

That's because they are just being polite and don't really plan on calling you back....so why would you want to call him?

The truth is most guys are pretty casual about their dates unless they really matter to them. So if he doesn't call back, don't bother.....he's not worth it!

And most guys really prefer the girl who is "hard to get"...it's in their genes!

Hate it but actually they may be doing you a favor up front. If they are that shady to not even keep their word on something so minor, do you really want to bother with them? YOu can do much better!!

haha, I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulence today, and my boyfriend (long-distance relationship, 3000 miles apart or he surely would have been right beside me) said he would call me back because the doctors were coming in....still waiting to hear form him, definately still love him though.

I think that is one the most rude, inconsiderate things someone can do...why bother saying you'll call back in the first place??

He doesn't call you back because he has other things on his mind... other women, other interests....etc..

Move on. Give someone else a chance to call you back. You deserve better. You deserve someone who will gives you his full attention and who will keep his words.
