Bold spots were never fashionable, sorry. Mullets have been making a come back though.

I daresay that mullets will be making a comeback, much to my dismay. My friend and her husband recently visited Greece and she said most of the men and some chicks sported some form or another of a mullet. she called it the Euro-mullet.
I like your picture. rif raf was my fave in that movie.

Well...bald never has been out of style and still is very popular, but I hope and pray that I never ever see the day again that mullets or even something simular will hurt our eyes again.

Mullets are still very popular as bait-fish, especially for king mackerel. Bold spots -- which are the very brave little spots that jump into your boat as you tool down the bay -- are also very popular as bait-fish, particularly for white perch and rockfish by the Bay Bridge pilings.
If you meant BALD spot, I assure you, spots have no hair at all.
