No, I would say the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus is the most important thing. But like any book, you need to read all of it to truly understand the deeper meaning.

The parables teach us how to live. The books previous to and following the life of Jesus give us examples of how to live and how NOT to live. You can learn a lot from a bad example! The three most transcendent things to ever happen on this Earth are:
1 The Creation of the Earth and all things placed upon it.
2. The Fall from Grace of Adam and Eve.
(This is important! Without it, they would have remained in a state f innocence and you and I would have never been born. It was vital that mankind was born, as to fulfill the purposes of God.)
3. The Atonement, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
So: Here is a world for all of man (and woman) kind to have a mortal experience, complete with sin and suffering and death.
Here are Adam and Eve who introduced death into the world.
And here is Jesus Christ who redeemed mankind from sin by His Atonement and death and redeemed mankind from death by His Resurrection. The greatest part of the Bible is that on the third day the tomb was empty.

The Bible is the inspired word of God. Everything that is written therein is important for us to know. You have to study all the Bible to appreciate how much better Jesus" death on the cross made it for us to be forgiven of our sins today. The Old Testament is our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. The New Testament is our guide to righteous living before God today. You must rightly divide thw word because there are some matters which apply to some and other matters which apply to others. The whole Bible is important, not just one part and it all flows together.Does this help?

Jesus dying on the cross is a major thing in Christianity but it is not the most important thing. God shows how He loved us so much that He sent His only child to die on the cross for us while WE WERE YET SINNERS!
But Jesus didn't stay dead, He rose again from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God until the day that He will come again on the earth to receive His bride (His body, the church) and to judge the world in righteousness.
By His resurrection, we also (who believe in Him and accept Jesus in our hearts)have eternal life. To please God ,we must obey His commandments and His commandments are not grievous or hard to do because He gives us of His Holy Spirir to walk as He walked, in truth and righteousness all the days of our lives.
The beginning and end of it all is for us to love the LORD with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength (therefore with everything in us) AND to love one another with the love that Jesus has for us that He laid down His life to save us.

No, no, no, no.
The Resurrection is the most important thing. That would mean that we also will be resurected. Those that believe are to be raised to eternal life, those that do not will be raised and be condemned. Jesus said that.
John 5:28 "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

His ressurrection is just as important. If He stayed dead......we would still be dead in our sins.
If the bible skipped from Genesis to the gospels....we would miss the point. All of scripture as a whole points toward Christ.

Ok here goes, Christianity is not about Jesus's death its about life through his sacrifice, and is his death more important that 1000s of verses, all not sure, but i can tell u that just about the entire Bible new and old testament, their sole purpose is to guide us, his children, in God righteuos ways to that lead us back to him!...Jesus now plays a crucial role in this sole purpose because we all fall short, we are all sinners and Christ died to redeem us from misery, he paid our debts, and most importantly was obedient to God whom sent him!....So again Christianity is not about Jesus's death but his light, life, happiness, miracles, resurrection, purity, divineness, and lastly Jesus in every way depicts Gods pure love for all of us!

Jesus is the only human without the stain of sin Jesus is the only popular sacrifice for cleansing of the international.. Jesus is the only one which would save us from spritual lack of life. The punishment for sin. he's THE LAMB OF GOD. (Revelation 4) Satn knows this, and could do each and everything in his capacity to misinform the individuals.

Christ's resurrection is the most important thing. Without the Bible, we would not know how the Lord wants us to love one another as he has loved us, we would not know Jesus' teachings, miracles and about his life, we would not know the multitudes of people who followed him and most importantly we would not know that through his death we are cleansed from our sins and reborn again.
