I am due in 3 weeks and about two months ago we found out that it is a girl. I want to name her Emily. He agreed with it after about a month. We were originally going to name her Haillee or Kailee but my cousin had a girl and named her Kailee. I can't name mine Haillee because it sounds too much like Kailee. So we agreed on Emily. This morning I was getting ready for work and he said he doesn't really like Emily anymore. It is not fair!! Why can't he agree with it and not change his mind? Now he wants Haillee again. What should I do?

guys always change their minds. i agree you cannot name her the same as your cousin or a name that ryhmes because your always going to think of that. once you have the baby, i think maybe he will agree with you, especially after you do all of that work. you both have to agree, so right there that throws his name out. when shes born, just tell him, oh she looks like an emily. maybe he'll go with it, lol. Give him a couple choices so that he doesnt think that your naming her, and then go with one of those for the middle name, maybe that will work. good luck.

tell him you dont want Haillee, and you are happy to leave Emily and get the books out and find something else totally different that both of you like, there are thousands of names out there, so I am sure you will find one that you both agree on. good luck with the safe arrival and congratulations.

Come to an agreement. If you don't want Hailee and he doesn't want Emily then find a new name.
My wife and I are trying for kids and we've already put out lists of names for each. We'll discuss it and find the names WE like.

You have to find a name that both of you agree on. When my son was born we decided on a name a couple times but i told her I didn't like it anymore, then we finally decided on one that we both liked.
