If you have strong faith in your religion, of course you think it's right. If you've researched it, and put all your heart into it, you would think it was the true religion also. If you didn't, you wouldn't be faithful to your religion or your god, would you? No.
And you are absolutely right, God would not send you - or anybody for that matter - to hell for anything. Such a loving God would not do that. And hell is actually the term for the common grave.
God has laid out a plan so that the wicked will one day be destroyed and the righteous (those who truly love him and do his will) will be left to live on a paradise earth. Just as he set out for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. That was what God had purposed the earth to be, a paradise, with faithful servants!
Read Psalms 37:9-11 where it states that very thing.
This is what I believe. I'm a Jehovah's Witness, and many people do not agree with my religion. But yes, I do believe it is the true religion. I'm not judging anyone or implying any judgment. My beliefs are based solely and completely on the Bible. So I have just reason to believe that my religon is the true one.
I hope this helped some.

common mistake people make is that "all" religions came to be the right one and i will be honest christianity and islam are the only two that i know who claim such a thing. christianity and islam have claimed to be the right one since they where founded but yet there are millions of other religions out there that never in its time claimed to be the right one. but the right one is the one you see fit for you not anyone else this is a better way to look at this growing problem in our every day culture.

Buddha said that one should seek the truth themselves before believing; one should question & understand for themselves ( this included his teachings). Therefore, i don't think that buddhism claims to be the "right" one. As I am not so aware of other religions, i cannot come to a conclusion about them.

Religions think they are the right one because that's evolution. The fittest will dominate. Religions that say "Oh, you can believe whatever you want" are more likely to succumb to ones that say "believe what we tell you or be tortured forever by our god." Evolution baby.
